While it was a difficult journey, Noreen concluded she had learned a lot and would take another online course to continue developing her skills with wikis and blogging.

Guardian Masterclass - My Blogging Story
Mark Jenkins has been blogging for 7 years and now runs two blogs - Friedmylittlebrain about electronic and hip hop music with 4 writers and 2000+ Facebook fans, and UK Street Art about street art and graffiti with 3 writers and 70,000+ Facebook fans. He started blogging in 2007 out of a desire for a new challenge and has learned that consistency, social media engagement, and embracing new platforms are key to building and maintaining an audience over many years of blogging. While he has made some money from blogging, his primary motivation has always been his passion for the topics.

Facilitating inquiry
This document summarizes Heidi Siwak's presentation on facilitating inquiry. Visible Thinking is a research-based approach to teaching thinking developed at Harvard's Project Zero. It focuses on using routines to help make students' thinking visible. Teachers can use routines like See-Think-Wonder, Circle of Viewpoints, and Color-Coded Feedback to engage students in exploring ideas, considering different perspectives, and reflecting on their learning.
Why integrative thinking
The world has changed such that people will have 5-7 different careers in fields that may not even exist yet, requiring thinking that integrates different perspectives to create new opportunities. Teachers had stable careers for life while current students may need to create their own jobs or businesses through entrepreneurial integrative thinking that combines diverse ideas.

The official religion is Buddhism and the monarchy system has been in place since the 13th century, though there have been periods of military rule over the years. The economy relies heavily on agriculture, tourism, and exports like electronics and automobiles.

Heidi Siwak's Grade 6 class created an augmented reality tourism app for the town of Dundas, Ontario as a class project. The students collaborated over blogs, Twitter, and Skype with experts to design, map locations, and add content to the app. Working on a real project with a real audience highly engaged the students and allowed their individual strengths to emerge. Some challenges included weather interruptions and technical issues, but interacting with professionals through social media motivated the students to complete the project.
