Going Above and Beyond
by maggieowens | on February 21, 2013

What Do I Mean by Above and Beyond?
Exactly how it sounds. Do more than is expected. If you want to succeed, you need to grab every opportunity
you can, put everything you have into it and produce, produce, produce.
You may be saying, “that’s easy for you to say, you don’t have small children running around”, or “you don’t
have an outside job you need to go to”. And you are correct.

However, I am a caregiver to my elderly father, I have a 23 year old daughter who lives at home with myself,
my brother, and my father. So I do have interruptions.

You may not be able to go above and beyond all the time, but there are times that come around in everyone’s
life where they have a little bit of spare time. Those are the times that you want to grab that opportunity and go
above and beyond.
Right now my dad is in the hospital and will be there at least 6 weeks. My plan is to spend every waking
moment on the computer that I can, learning and doing. It will probably be easier for me since I don’t have
little one’s or anyone at home right now that needs care.

Yes, I do still have other responsibilities, but there is still plenty of time for me to “kick it up a notch”. Instead
of sitting there watching TV or getting lost in cyber space, I can be learning and doing. This is what successful
people do. And when I did that, this is what I got. I started getting leads and sales.
When I saw this email from Dave and Dave, I was so excited. I learned that if you do what they say and teach
and take massive action, you too will start to become successful.

If you do the things that are taught, it will not be difficult to go above and
beyond.
So What Can I Do to Go Above and Beyond?
Instead of just blogging once a day, blog twice a day or maybe even more. You can always keep them in draft
form so you have some handy for those days it’s more difficult.

Make a few videos each day when you can.

Learn, learn, and then learn some more. By learning, it also is the perfect opportunity to teach others. Blog
about the things that you learn.

Syndicate. Find more places to syndicate your blog. There are tons of places out there.

When you’re listening to The Inner Circle or The 15K, listen for those “golden nuggets” that are given.

Take super notes.

Keep looking for opportunities to learn.

Whenever you start any type of business, there are times in the beginning where
you need to go above and beyond. Do the things you need to do to become
successful and then a little while down the road, it won’t require you to be on the
computer but a couple of hours a day.
