4. What is presentation:-
Presentation is the practice of showing
and explaining the content of a topic to an
audience or learner. Presentations come in
nearly as many forms as there are life
situations. In the business world, there are
sales presentations, informational and
motivational presentations, first
encounters, interviews, briefings, status
reports, image-building, and training
sessions.
5. HAVE YOU EVER FACED THIS SITUATION WHEN YOU
DO YOUR PRESENTATION?
9. Think about the presentation
beforehand.
Do use PowerPoint.
Face your audience at all times.
Be very clear about how much time you
have.
10. Be very clear about your key message.
E-mail your presentation to the event
organisers in advance.
Make copies of your slides available.
Ensure that the slides look good
Make appropriate use of pictures.
11. Techniques To Do a Great
Presentation
DO write, present and speak in a style, tone and
language that your audience understand.
DO make sure your presentation has a hook.
DON'T talk for hours upon hours, you will lose your
audience. Give them regular breaks to keep them
interested.
DON'T make your presentation too lengthy. Sometimes
short and sweet is better for both parties.
12. DO take some time out to get your audience
involved. Remember a successful presentation is a two
way street.
DO put your past experiences and knowledge of
presentations to good use. Remember both negative
and positive areas of presentations, and put your past
experiences into your presentation to make it
awesome.
Do remember to summarise your presentation at the
end, or provide a summarised handout to your
audience. Summarise all the action points, content and
themes covered.
