To dissect a fish, one needs a chopping board, sharp knife or scalpel, tweezers, and scissors. The process involves examining the fish's external structure, making an incision from anus to neck to expose the internal organs, and then locating and examining the heart, liver, stomach, intestines, eggs, and bladder. Dissecting the eye carefully to find the lens and examining the mouth and gills are also part of the process. Dissecting fish provides children a hands-on way to learn anatomy and biological structures.

2. EQUIPMENT NEEDED
- chopping board
- sharp knife/scalpel
- tweezers
- scissors

3. 1 STEP
- look at the fish and study it
- examine its skin, fins and general structure

4. 2 STEP
- hold the fish in your hand (belly facing up) and
cut it open (from anus to the neck)
- stop when it turn out to be hard.

5. 3 STEP / 4 STEP
- examine the fish insides
- locate the heart, liver, stomach, intestines, eggs,
bladder

6. 5 STEP
- use the scalpel to dissect the eye (be very
careful)
- cut the eye open and find a lens

7. 6 STEP
- examine the fish mouth and gills

8. IN KINDERGARDEN
- This activity provide brilliant opportunity for
children to learn about anatomy (bone structure,
insides, use of organs...)
