WHAT IS A WIKI
Wikis get their name from the Hawaiian
term "wiki wiki," which means "very fast."
A wiki is indeed a fast method for
creating content as a group. It's a hugely
popular format on the Web for creating
documents as a group. There is usually
no central editor of a wiki, no single
person who has final editorial control.
Instead, the community edits and
develops its own content.
Select ‘Practice course’ from
course categories.
Select ‘turn editing on’ from the top
right hand corner of the page.
Scroll down the page to the required week and
select ‘Add an activity.’From the drop down select
‘wiki.’
We have added a new wiki to page 3. Enter name
and summary of the wiki. For help click on the
yellow question mark.
Teacher, Groups and Students are
the three types of wikis.
Fill in ‘Group mode’, ‘ID number’ if required
and select ‘Save and return to course’.
THE WIKI IS NOW READY!!!
