In the days of old, a QA was the last line of defense before a feature was released and the sole owner of quality. That approach is hardly used in companies where a shift-left testing mindset started taking place, which advocates for the whole team owning quality and related activities. However, many QAs were left unattended, unsure how they can bring value to their teams without being a gatekeeper. In this talk, I showcase some activities that I have been doing to keep contributing to the development teams I work with without being the sole owner of quality.
