Long ago, the tapir was the most handsome animal in the forest but liked to bully smaller animals. When the tapir demanded food from the rats, the chief rat tricked him into drinking a potion that made him fall asleep. While the tapir slept, the rats filed down his teeth, cut off his horn, and dyed his back, teaching the tapir a lesson about bullying others. The ashamed tapir then ran away into the forest.
