This research proposal examines the effect of music on concentration while studying among female students at BSSE. It hypothesizes that concentration may be affected differently with and without music, and with different types of music at varying volumes. A literature review discusses previous studies that tested the impact of music genres and volumes on cognitive performance and concentration. The proposed methodology would collect data through questionnaires and an experiment separating participants into three groups to analyze time taken and scores with no music, classical music, and pop music. The results and discussion will compare findings to previous research, and the conclusion will determine whether music or no music is better for concentration.
