Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims in Indonesia. Prior to Eid al-Fitr, Indonesians prepare by giving zakat alms, making traditional foods, and returning home from living in other areas. On Eid al-Fitr, Indonesians attend morning prayers, visit family, exchange gifts and greetings, and pay respects at gravesites. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and is celebrated with religious observances, family gatherings, and sharing in special dishes.
