In my group, I was the actress, the interrogator so I got the props that
I thought will look good on the interrogator e.g. Folder and pictures of
the illegal substances. Also I made sure I look serious at all times
since I was meant to be applying pressure on the suspect to confess
up to his mischief. I also had to line my lines off by heart.
Everyone in the team worked really well with each other, there were
times when I was stressed out because the scripts were not printed
out on time so I couldn’t learn my words on time, and when one thing
is being delayed everything else gets delayed. But I did help out with
a little with the script and suggested a few lines to be said and a few
gestures. On a whole I worked alright with the team , there was no
disagreement and everyone got along.
During filming or working on this task, the most challenging thing for
me was learning the words and also having to be serious while acting.
I had to learn the words in a short time so I did not memorise the
whole script and I had to improvise.
I set up the camera’s and the micro phones, I made sure the camera
lighting was just right and not to bright, I found using the equipment
quite easy, but it was a bit tricky putting the camera on the holder and
plugging the microphones into the right holes.
The camera was on manual setting, this allowed us to have full control
of the camera as well as getting exposure and composition as we
wanted. If the camera was on automatic we wouldn’t have got the
lighting we wanted and it would have allowed brightness.
The setting went well for us we blocked off anywhere which was
allowing light so we can get that eerie scene, also we chose the right
filming and camera angles and had the right props, and everyone
contributed and played their part well. Everyone work well together
and we managed to get back on track.
I think I need to work more on being on task and timing so everything
gets done on time and there’s no pressure, also memorising and
trying to be more serious and getting into character. I also need to
practise my filming skills from different angles, learn how to set up the
camera and plug the microphones into the right hole and learn what
lighting to use and how to adjust the brightness levels.

How did you work within your role
