Project Reporting
WEB-BASED HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
MODULE : Incorporate patient and
financial management
Problem Definition:
• Problem with conventional system.
• The information is very difficult to retrieve and to find particular
information like – E.g.- To find out about the patient’s history, the
user has to go through various registers.
• The information generated by various transactions takes efforts to
be store right place.
• Various changes to information like patient details or immunization
details of child are difficult to make as paper work involved.
• Preparation of accurate and prompts reports: - This becomes a
difficult task as information is difficult to collect from various
registers.
• Manual calculations are error prone and take a lot of time this may
result in incorrect information. For example, calculation of patient
bill based on various treatments.

IMPLEMENTATION
Presentation tier:
Front End:
• Zen Framework: - The Zen application framework provides a simple
way to rapidly create complex, data-rich web applications by assembling
pre-built object components.
• JavaScript: Generally used for a client-side process such as validation.
• Caché Object : Caché object technologies give application developers
the means to easily create high performance, object-based, database
applications.
Back End:
• Caché: A high-performance object database. Caché derives much of its
power from its unique architecher. At the core, the Caché database engine
provides the complete set of services – including data storage,
concurrency management, transactions, and process management –
needed to built complex database management systems.

CONCLUSION
• The HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is a great improvement over
the manual system using records of file. The computerization of the
system has sped up the process. In the current system, the front office
managing is very slow. The hospital managing system was thoroughly
checked and tested with dummy data and thus is found to be very reliable.
ADVANTAGES
• It is fast, efficient and reliable.
• Avoids data redundancy and inconsistency.
• Web-based.
• Number of personnel required is considerably less.
• Provides more security and integrity to data
