Mystery because there is no telling what could be out there. Also,
the mask creates the sense of danger. Masks are used to hide
identities and when a killers identity is hidden it dehumanises them
because there is no emotion or remorse to be seen. In addition, the
end of the mask is shaped like a knife which represents the murder
weapon of choice. Furthermore, the ‘A’ is replaced with 4 but the
significance of this is the colour. Red connotes danger blood and
death which is why it is used for this horror poster.

signifies the blood shed she leaves on her killing rampage. In
addition, the colours used are also symbolic. There is a theme
of just white and red. The red represents violence and her
rage while her skin tone is quite pale to show there is no
life in her suggesting she isn't human.

Grace Moretz who is known actor through her role in kick ass.

would be done to mainly attract the fans of the novel.

this particular killer has a power. What that power is, is a
mystery until the audience watches the film. In addition the
killer is female which is also not typical for horror movies as
they are usually the ones getting chased for their lives. These
two variations create excitement because it’s a different form o
the repetitive horror movies that have been released already.

normally have an emotionless face and they show no remorse.
