From this table we can see that
a lot of the top horror movies
are from the 1970’s and the
1990’s. The major studio is
universal, with 5 of their horror
movies in the top 25. We can
also see that there is a massive
difference between the top
ranked and the 25th, showing
that the top movie has done
much more successful then the
others on the list. The fact that
the 25th ranked is quite low
could suggest that horror
movies don’t generally do well
very often.
Here we can see that horror was at its peak in 2007 in terms of sales and market
shares and at its lowest in terms of sales and market share in 1996. However, it
shot up in 1997.

have released Horror Movies
such as Dracula, Jaws and
Psycho.
Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation or Lionsgate, is a North American
entertainment company. The company was formed in Vancouver on July
3rd, 1997. Its headquarters its in California. As of 2012, it is the most
commercially successful independent film and television distribution
company in North America.

Lions gate have released horror movies such as SAW, The Last House in
the Woods and alone in the dark.
