1. Are you applying for a home loan? Here is a list of all the documents needed for a
mortgage application:
• Each applicant will need pay stubs (covering the last 30 days), W-2 forms (for the last
two years), and the names and addresses of all employers for the last two years.
Also, self-employed applicants will need two years’ worth of tax returns.
• Bank statements for all checking and savings accounts (covering the last three months).
• Statements from the last two months for CDs, IRAs, stocks, bonds, and any other securities
(if these assets will be used for a down payment).
• A list of all new monthly debts not listed on a credit report (auto loans, student loans,
mortgage loans, credit cards, etc.).
• Information on properties already owned.
• One or two forms of valid photo ID.
