Wendy S. Hoevemeyer
Wendy completed her Bachelor of
Science in Environmental Science
with a specialization in GIS in
2014. While at BGSU, Wendy
realized her growing passion for
the National Park Service. After
completing her undergraduate
work, she felt that continuing her
education at the graduate level
would give her the skills to pursue
her dream of working at a national park. Through an
assistantship offered by the political science department,
Wendy was able to attend the MPA program at BGSU.
During her MPA career, Wendy has worked on numerous
service-learning ventures that include organizations such as
Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Office of Sustainability
at Bowling Green State University and Wood County
Economic Development Commission. In 2015, Wendy
attended the United Nations Framework on Climate Change
Conference with an MPA facility member and fellow
student. This conference reinforced her desire to work at the
federal level to protect and preserve national parks.
