A high sensitivity very low frequency (VLF) receiver has been developed for earthquake data acquisition using an AD744 monolithic operational amplifier. The receiver is designed to operate in the frequency range of 10-30kHz, providing high sensitivity and gain necessary for capturing low power VLF signals generated by natural phenomena like earthquakes. Experimental results indicate that the receiver effectively processes signals down to -30dBm, making it suitable for real-world applications in earthquake observation.
