Important dictators and Heroes of the Revolutions
Tunisia Revolution
•   Zine El Abidine Ben Ali had been the president for
    23 years. He was also the second president of
    Tunisia. He knew of the problems and crime that
    faced the country but he refused to do anything
    about it. He was forced out of power in January
    2011, and fled to Saudi Arabia. He was the first
    dictator/president to fall in the Arab Spring and he
    has been charged with drug trafficking by the new
    government of Tunisia.

• Mohamed Bouazizi was
                       Revolution
  himself. This is because his food cart was taken from him by
  corrupt police, people believe that the money was going
  towards sending his sister to university. He was so disgusted
  by the corrupt police, he burnt himself stating that he couldn’t
  earn a living because of the government. He died in hospital
  18 days after burning himself, and many of the Protestors in
  the Arab Spring look to him as a hero or as a Martyr
Egyptian Revolution
The forth president of Egypt, and has been
in office of 30 years. He had also been a
commander in the Egyptian air force. He
was the President when the Revolution
began, and is known for being corrupt and
ordering his police to do horrible things to
political prisoners. After the Revolution it’s
known that he had around ten thousand
political prisoners from people who spoke
badly to others who just voted against him.
Muammar Gaddafi
Gained power because of the military and has
been in power for 42 years. He is known for
giving much of the Nations money to his family
and himself. He addresses himself as the king of
kings and the Brother Leader. After gaining
power he got rid of the Libyan constitution
and made his own laws. He is the main reason
that the civil war began and after 3 months of
fighting against the opposition, he is nearly
beaten and only has a few strongpoints left in
the country.
