1. John 14:15-17
‘If you love Me, you will obey what I command.

because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But
you know Him, for He lives with you and will be

2. John 14:18-20
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to
you. Before long, the world will not see Me
anymore, but you will see Me. Because I live,
you also will live. On that day you will realize
that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I
am in you.

3. John 14:21-22
Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he
is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will
be loved by My Father, and I too will love him
and show Myself to him.’ Then Judas (not Judas
Iscariot) said, ‘But, Lord, why do you intend to
show Yourself to us and not to the world?’

4. John 14:23-24
Jesus replied, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will obey
My teaching. My Father will love him, and we
will come to him and make our home with him.
He who does not love Me will not obey My
teaching. These words you hear are not My
own; they belong to the Father; who sent Me.

5. Having the right motive doesn’t GUARANTEE the
right result.
The Holy Spirit is a GIFT from the Father.
Greater things (v12) are contingent on Jesus
GOING to the Father.
We can do the right things
for the WRONG reasons.
What you can’t do is love
Jesus without OBEYING Him.

6. Greek means “one who comes ALONGSIDE”
Jesus is saying, “I will not leave you HELPLESS.”
Holy Spirit is our ADVOCATE

7. If you want to be familiar with the VOICE of Holy
Spirit begin with the Word clearly spoken.
You may not realize it, but you KNOW Him.
Holy Spirit is the Spirit of
TRUTH.

8. You make someone feel welcome through TIME
and ATTENTION.
It isn’t that they don’t already KNOW Jesus, only
there is MORE to know.
We are driven by our SINFUL nature or led by the
SPIRIT of God.
