This document discusses three types of heat transfer: convection, radiation, and conduction. Convection involves the transfer of heat through a fluid like air or water, such as heating a marshmallow over a campfire. Radiation transfers heat in rays, like the light from the sun. Conduction is the direct transfer of heat through touching objects, for example a pan heating up from a stove and transferring that heat to a person's hand.

Convection is the transfer of heat through a fluid (liquid a gas).
Ex= The campfire heats the marshmellow through the air
between them
 Convection- transfer of heat through a fluid

3. radiation
Radiation is the transfer of heat in rays
 Radiation- transfer of heat in rays
Ex= the most common radiation is the light from the sun.

4. conduction
Conduction is the direct transfer of heat through two toughing
objects
Ex= when pans are on the stove, the heat from the pan will
transfer to your hand if you touch it
 Conduction- transfer of heat through things touching
