Communicable
These are caused by attack of
microorganisms such as
bacteria, virus, fungi or protozoan.
Example common cold, tuberculosis
and diarrhea
4. Cholerae
It is an acute infectious water borne disease caused
by bacterium Vibrio cholerae.
5. TUBERCULOSIS
• It is caused by bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis
• T.B can affect all pats of the body.
6. virus
A virus is a microorganism that lives in a cell of another living thing. Viruses can be seen only
with an electron microscope. They range in size from about to micron ( One micron equals to
mm )
7. POLIO ( POLIOMYELITIS )
It is a disease caused by RNA virus called
polio virus
It spreads mainly by human faeces or
interstinal discharge.
11. Filaria ( Elephantiasis )
It is caused by filarial wormWuchereria bancrofti.The filarial worm is the parasite of
man living in lymphatic and connective vessel.
12. Fungus
• Fungi are non-green plants and includes mold, rusts and puff balls.
13. Ringworm
It is a fungal disease which affects the skin, hairs or nails of a person.
14. Non-communicable Diseases
The disease which cannot transferred from one person to another are called non-communicable
disease.
