This study will use mixed methods to identify and assess cultural ecosystem services (CES) provided by the Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve. It will analyze historical documents and conduct interviews, focus groups, participatory mapping, and surveys to understand how people value and benefit from the peatlands' CES, such as recreation, beauty, and cultural heritage. The research aims to quantify these socio-cultural values and evaluate how peatland restoration may impact the provision and importance of CES over time.
