Paul Cezanne On The Banks Of A River Analysis
The mesmerizing painting created by the 20th Century French artist Paul Cezanne portrays how
even incomplete works are capable of depicting its own form of art and overall experience. His
painting On the Banks of a River is constructed using oil on canvas and is an unfinished lifelike
rendering of a natural scenery; well preserved today at the RISD Museum. Cezanne s process of
paintingand his techniques are clearly discernible in this early stage of art. Likely using a wide
brush, his paint strokes are both purposeful and confident where his objective is to present only
the most vital parts of the piece and each object s location, creating an artwork made up of
blocky, thick, and layered strokes similar to that of impasto paintings (a technique that layers
large amounts of paint in order to form a larger picture). From close up it is challenging to
distinguish the subject of the painting besides multicolored blotches of paint, but at a distance
one can grasp the different shapes and colors merge to form a complete landscape. There are
also three layers to this work, each diverse and together offers a sense of depth in the form of
overlapping grounds and value contrasts. The foreground is the warmest, composed mainly of a
sandy yellow color dotted with gray streaks possibly representative of stones or pavement, with
some blue highlights to contrast the dirty yellow. The middle ground is the most detailed and
consists of many dark colors and bright red and yellow geometric

Abigail Adams Essays
Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams was and still is a hero and idle for many women in the United States. As the wife
of John Adams, Abigail used her position to bring forth her own strong federalist and strong
feminist views. Mrs. Adams was one of the earliest feminists and will always influence today s
women.
Abigail Adams was born Abigail Smith in 1744 at Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was a
descendent of the Qunicys , a very prestigious family in the colonies, on her mothers side. On her
fathers side Abigail was a descendent of Congressional Ministers. During a time when women did
not receive a formal education, her grandmother at home taught Abigail. Her eagerness to learn and
to read is what created a bond between John Adams ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If perticular care and attention is not paid to the ladies we are determined to foment a rebellion,
and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice, or representation.
The reaction of John Adams was less than satisfactory. He responded by telling Abigail that he had
laughed at her request. He called her letter saucy and told her he had more to deal with than the
request of women.
This angered Abigail and she wrote to Mercy Otis Warren on April 27, 1776:
He is very saucy to me in return for a List of Female Grievances which I transmitted to him. I
think I will get you to join me in a petition to congress. I thought it was very probable our wise
statesmen would erect a new government and form a new code of laws. I ventured to speak a
word on behalf of our sex, who are rather hardly dealt with by the laws of England which gives
such unlimited power to the husband to use his wife.
I believe I even threatened formenting a Rebellion in case we were not considered and assured
him we would not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we had neither a voice nor
representation.
This letter is a fine example of Abigail Adams strong feminist and strong federalist views. These
letters represented the turmoil felt by women during the uncertain times facing the colonies. The
views of Abigail Adams became the first in a long line of cries out for women s equality.

Don John s Tragic Flaws
The definition of a tragic flaw is, a personality trait that ultimately leads to a character s own
downfall. Much Ado About Nothing clearly displays to the reader that Don John s actions coming
from his tragic flaws negatively affect him along with others around him. He is extremely jealous
of the success in Don Pedro and Claudio s lives, and is attempting to ruin Claudio and Hero s
happiness in their upcoming marriage. In the book, Much Ado About Nothingby William
Shakespeare, Don John appears to be the characterwho is the most tragically flawed by being
jealous and deceiving.

The United Nations Convention Of Combat Desertification
The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) was ratified in 1996. It is a
multilateral agreement which was made to address desertification. Desertification is defined as the
land degradation in arid, semi arid and dry sub humid areas, generally known as drylands . Many
African states believed their sustainable development was being obstructed due to issues such as
poverty, and food insecurity and were not being given necessary attention by the international
political community .
The need for an international convention was based on the argument that although the effects of
desertification are often felt locally, it could not be ignored that globally contributed changes such
as climate change and changes in soil and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goals are quantifiable; however, the degree to which they produce measurability is still weak.
Land desertification could be analyzed against other factors such as geology, and human action . In
addition the use of GIC and various soil indicators and food production can be used to quantify the
improvement of desertification. The use of GDP as well as the Human Development Index can be
used to measure the improvements of poverty and education.
Identification and Description of Challenges
One of the greatest difficulties that arises when dealing with an environmental issue such as
desertification on an international scale is the fact that its affects are not geographically universal.
For instance, regions of Africa and Asia are highly susceptible to land degradation and its affects
are often only apparent at the local level. As such, during early debates concerning desertification
there was much reluctance coming from developed countries to recognize it as a global concern.
Many developed countries, especially within Europe, argued that land degradation was a local
problem that results from the cumulative

The Country Has Made Over Their Long Living History
There are four international ports that connect the United States to Central America; Juarez is
one of these important four. Juarez once known as Paso del Norte (pass of the north) lies on the
Rio Grande (Rio Bravo del Norte). Juarez was founded in the 1600s and has since been in the top
ten largest populated cities in the world. When people think of Juarez and other cities in Mexico,
there are many stigmas held strongly against them. Nowadays, Mexico is perceived as a
dangerous and horrible place to live. Of course certain assumptions and stereotypes have some
validity with the drug cartel, murders, and high crime rates playing a part in their perception of the
country. However, even with the devastation and crime there is beauty and importance that lies at
the very roots of Mexico. In my paper I wish to express the many positive impacts the country has
made over their long living history. Juarez has been a strong and thriving city with an interesting
history of its people, agriculture and the economy. The history of Juarez starts in the sixteen
hundreds, specifically in sixteen fifty nine when it was known as Paso Del Norte. Spanish explorers
sought out a route though the southern part of the Rocky Mountains. At the time there were Native
Americans that had already been located in that area which made it perfect for explores to establish

The Office of Gifted Services reflects this philosophy and complies with Virginia Regulations

Horror In Stephen King s Why We Crave Horror Movies
The first time I watched a horror movie, I was nine years old. While all of my cousins shrieked
and closed their eyes, I felt totally engaged. Will we become more violent if we watch these
movies? Will we become a gore loving, emotionally insensitive society? What is it about scary
movies that we love so much? It all comes back to the Human Condition. Facing our fears,
establishing our sense of normalcy, and experiencing a weird sort of fun are all solid claims that
Stephen King states in his essay Why We Crave Horror Movies.
Horror is an opportunity for us humans to face our fears. Reading Stephen King s short story
Strawberry Spring is a perfect example that we use horror to show that...we are not afraid (King,
Why We Crave 1). We go to prove ourselves as brave. In comparison, watching horror movies is
alike daring the nightmare (King, Why We Crave 1). In this case, the nightmare is facing our
fears, considering horror films are equivalent to going through a literal nightmare. To point out,
the narrator in Strawberry Spring is enchanted by that dark and mist blown strawberry spring,
and by the shadow of violent death that walked through it... (King, Strawberry Spring 1). As a
matter of fact, we are all enchanted by the darkness in the story just as the narrator is. Additionally,
King describes this process as riding a roller coaster by reason of a really good horror movie may...

Should Ionizing Radiation Be Used In Medical Diagnosis
INTRODUCTION
Radiation procedures used to diagnose medical conditions over the past century have grown from a
scientific curiosity to a pervasive, essential part of modern health care. Radiology originated with
ionizing radiation to diagnose human disease, however since discovering the physiological risks
associated with ionizing radiation, such as mutation/cancer, an ongoing controversy arises as to
whether ionizing radiation should be used in medical diagnosis. This investigation will analyze
each end of the argument continuum to determine if ionizing radiation should continue to be used
in medical diagnosis.
BACKGROUND PHYSICS
Ionizing radiation is any type of particle (neutrons, betas or alphas) or electromagnetic wave
(gamma rays, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are different types of ionizing radiation, including gamma rays and x rays, which have been
known to cause cancer. Additionally, because x rays can kill living cells, when improperly used
they can cause severe burns, cancer, leukemia, and cataracts. They can speed aging, reduce
immunity to disease, and bring about disastrous changes in the reproductive cells.
Having few procedures employing ionizing radiation throughout your life may seem harmless, but
as the levels of doses increase, your risk of developing cancer rises at the same rate, according to
the LNT model. Figure 4 below exhibits potential medical consequences of certain periods of
exposure to ionizing radiation:
CONCLUSION
Given the evidence, it can be concluded that while there are risks that arise with ionizing radiation
in medical diagnosis, overall the benefits outweigh the risks, as doctors are able to diagnose various
health concerns that would go undetected otherwise. That being said, ionizing radiation should
continue to be used in medical diagnosis as they provide valuable medical procedures that can
ultimately save

Why Telecommuting Is A Great Advantage For Many People
In today s fast paced world, the number of people considering working from home is on the rise.
People are looking for ways to save money and add a little extra spare time to their day. Many
believe that this may be the answer they are looking for because they are not commuting to their
jobs on a daily basis. However, there are also a lot of people who believe working in an office is
still the better option for them. Technology has developed by leaps and bounds over the years and
companies are taking advantage of this by allowing their employees to work from home part time,

Creating a peaceful and stress free work space is essential if you want to be successful. One
disadvantage when it comes to telecommuting, is the lack of socialization and time management.
If that balance of work and personal life is not attained, many might find it to be more stressful
working at home than an office. Working from home can be a dream come true for many
people. If I owned my own company, I would definitely support telecommuting. However, I
would have to be one hundred percent sure the person choosing this option, has the dedication
and commitment it takes to succeed at work from home position. Not everyone will have the
right work skills, leadership, or requirements needed to take on a work from home job. The only
way most people would find out if telecommuting is right for them is to try it part time. If anyone
wants to do it on a full time basis, they should try it for a week or two to see how they handle it,
and then decide if this would be an advantage for them, or if it is more of a disadvantage.
When telecommuting, it is crucial for people to adjust their schedule to make sure they can
manage their time concerning work to get all their goals and deadlines accomplished. If someone
is not a morning person, they may decide to spend the majority of their time working in the
afternoon. They will need to make sure that they can get their work done in the time allotted

Pros And Cons Of Ancient Greece Dbq Essay
Ancient Greece DBQ: Marissa Ames From the struggles the people who lived in Ancient Greece

and another negative being the common volcano eruptions and earthquakes. Although Ancient

Greece was the hot, dry climate that as stated in Document 4 was perfect for growing olive trees.

Anorexia And Bulimia Nervosa
Introduction
In today s society, media is everywhere around us, and it can have a greater impact on us than
we believe and/or like to admit. According to James G Webster, media can be defined as a way
of communicating with the general public; newspapers, magazines, television, and billboards.
Being exposed to mass media s glorification of slim and modified bodies can over time lead to a
negative body image, and that possibly leading to extreme dieting and mental health problems, such
as an eating disorder.
Body image involves one s perception, imagination, emotions, and physical sensations of and about
our bodies (Lightstone, 2012). Lightstone also argued that body image is not based on facts, but in
our nature and influenced more by self esteem than by actual attractiveness judged by others.
According to Lightstone, body image can change depending on mood, environment, and mental
health. A dissatisfied body image can lead to dieting, and sometimes even eating disorders. The
eating disorders that this essay will focus on are Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. ... Show

Standing too much without taking a break to sit can cause hemorrhoids to develop. (
Hemorrhoids) Consistent anal sexual intercourse and diarrhea can also increase your risk of
hemorrhoids. You re also more likely to develop hemorrhoids if you re pregnant. When the

The Legalization Of Physician Assisted Suicide
It is obvious discussing physician assisted suicide is a very controversial issue that is discussed
daily by those who wish to die to avoid loss of dignity and also by those who think it is unethical.
For physician assisted suicide to even be considered, the patient must be of sound mind when they
are requesting deathwith dignity. Physician assisted suicideshould be a legal option for people who
are unable to end their own lives. However, there should be safeguards to prevent any sort of
abuse. There should be the legalization of physician assisted suicide, but not for active
euthanasia. It should never be contemplated as a substitute for comprehensive comfort care or for
working with patients to resolve the physical, personal, and social challenges posed by the
process of dying (Meier, D.E., p. 294). If an incurable patient who is suffering asks for specific
help in physician assisted suicide, physicians should have the obligation to fully scrutinize the
request. Not only is it the seriousness of considering medicineas the placement of certain suicide an

original marketing plans that superseded media ads. In 1971, this attention getting scheme was used
to hire ladies with the Raquel Welch look: the company hired long legend beauties with sparkling
personalities, dressed in hot pants and white boots. Their marketing strategies changed drastically

History of the Eucharist
History of the Eucharist The Sacrament of Eucharist is the most frequently received Sacraments in
the Catholic Church. The matter in the Sacrament of Eucharist is the bread and wine, which
changes into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Sacrament of Eucharist is dated in the Bible
as far back to the Old Testament, indirectly as the Israelites flee from Egypt in the desert, and God
gives them manna to eat. This happens multiple times while the Israelites are searching for the
Promised Land. The most important part of the Bible when the Eucharistis received, is when Jesus
and the Apostles are at the Last Supper. Through the Sacrament of Eucharist, Jesus breaks the
bread and passes it around to his apostles. Then, Jesus says that one of them will betray him, and
whoever dips the bread in the wine at the same time he does will be the one who will betray him.
As we know Judas was the one who betrayed him, and must have been the one to dip the bread in
the wine at the same time as Jesus. Even though all the Gospel writers wrote about Jesus Matthew,
Mark, and Luke wrote about the meal Jesus had with his Apostles the night before his death, not
John. Between the Resurrection of Jesus, and the conversion of the Emperor Constantine to
Christianity. During this period of time in the Roman Empire, people who were Christians, were
persecuted in public, just because of their beliefs. Christians had made a modification to having to

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof Metaphors
When surrounded by toxic people who constantly belittle us we forget about our internal
happiness. In the play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Tennessee Williams tells the story of Maggie a
woman desperate for love who is trying to fight loneliness. Williams also mentions Big Daddy and
Big Mama, a couple whom have unsaid relationship misunderstandings. However, the characters
will eventually learn to love and be the bigger person. Williams uses irony and similes throughout
the play to prove to the audience loneliness can encourage self love and appreciation to ones own
company. Throughout the play the reader can observe a few ironic phrases that help us understand
the struggle the characters like Brick and Maggie went through for example the feeling

Poverty In The Film Blood Diamond
Every nation has a responsibility to its citizens to improve the economic, political and social well
being of its people. However, in the film Blood Diamond it is made clear that there is an
exploitation of the people in Sierra Leone. This economic problem is fueled by three main
concepts; poverty, production/resources and demand/supply. Through the analysis of the three main
concepts it will be shown how the economic problem was the result of each sub concept.
Poverty
In Blood Diamond we see examples of both the working poor Solomon Vandy, and the absolute
poor those living in utter destitution. Vandy worked two jobs as a fisherman and a doorman, and
even with two jobs, it can be seen by his living situation that he has to work very ... Show more

This then makes marine life unsuitable therefore eliminating another healthy food option for the
many living in absolute poverty. The mining of diamonds contributes to the poverty in Sierra
Leone and makes it harder to escape it. The process of producing the diamonds so they could be
sold on the market involved many steps which were illustrated in the movie, Blood Diamond.
Smugglers like Archer would supply the RUF with guns. The guns would be used by the RUF
to intimidate the people of Sierra Leone into working as laborers for them; we see this with
Solomon and his son. These men would be forced to dig in the water mines for hours a day
searching for diamonds of all sizes. Then the diamonds are mixed with other diamonds all
around the world, mixing the illegal ones with the legal ones; this was explained in the movie
by Archer to Maggie. When the diamonds are mixed in with the others, no one can determine
for certainty where each originated from. The export of the diamonds relies on how well Sierra
Leone s resources are to produce it and its resources are the laborers mining for the diamonds.
More diamonds are exported out of the country when there are more laborers mining for them. It
is then distributed to nations where they are made into necklaces and bracelets, and no questions
are asked. We see clearly in the movie how the factors of production are used: land, labour, and
entrepreneurship. Land is the resource where diamonds are found, and in Blood Diamond we

The Magnocellular pathway carries information from the M ganglion cells at rapid speed along the
dorsal stream to the parietal lobe to help us understand motion, spatial relationships and contrast.
The Parvocellular pathway carries information from the P ganglion cells at slower speed along the
ventral stream to the temporal lobe to help us process fine details of such as color and form of an

identification, but there are speculations that its allocentric frame of reference can also be used in a
more egocentric approach (i.e., the Parvocellular pathway is able to elicit an autonomic response
like the Magnocellular pathway). This research expands on these theories by studying the role of
color vision in autonomic attention responses. The experiment attempts to study the relationship

Formal Communication Analysis
Communication is passing information from one place to another, which is something people do
every day in different ways. People communicate in order to be able to express themselves and to
connect to those around them. They communicate at home with family and friends and fellow staff
members at work. There is many different ways of communicating such as non verbally, verbally
and whether it is done formally or informally.
It is important that communication is used in many professions, especially in Nurse Smith s job.

vulnerable people that she works with. If she can communicate efficiently with those around her

When face to face she would have to consider many different factors. Such as her surroundings, if
she is in a noisy environment and she is talking to an elderly person, she may need to consider
speaking louder for them to hear her. If she is speaking to somebody of a different culture to her
she may need to consider the gestures she uses in case in their culture it is offending. She will
also have to consider the language she uses, if she is talking to a fellow staff member they will
understand the use of jargon whereas a service user may not. Furthermore, the language used is
also determined whether she is speaking verbally or non verbally. If she is dealing with
someone with a hearing impairment she may need to consider getting somebody to translate
using sign language, or if they have a sight impairment she may need to provide them with some
brail if she needs them to read something. Her body language and facial expression is also
something she needs to consider when working alongside with vulnerable people, this is
because they need to feel at ease and comfortable and this can be done by her having a relaxed
posture or a smile on her face. The personal space between her and the other person is also
important, she wouldn t want them to feel uncomfortable if she were too close to their body. Most
importantly she will have to listen to who she is speaking to. If she

Gender Stereotypes In Thelma And Louise
Directed by Ridley Scott and released in 1991, the feminist film Thelma Louise is one that
deserves recognition for challenging viewers expectations of how gender stereotypes are
foreseen in a patriarchal Southern U.S. society. Ultimately providing a negative message for
female audiences, the film portrays two women s struggles in rising above a society exclusively
governed by men. The story follows Thelma Dickinson, an unhappily married housewife who
throughout her life, has been placed in a subjugated position by her narcissistic, unappreciative
and oppressive husband, Darryl. Over the course of this film, viewers observe Thelma s
dramatic evolution into a highly independent female figure alongside her best friend Louise
Sawyer. Their relationship is an important aspect of the film as it reinforces how dependant they
are on each other, especially when society has turned their backs on them. As both travel on a
both physical and emotional journey of self discovery, the duo begins to truly realise who they
are as women. There is no good reason as to why they should have to put up with men looking
down upon them all the time. Scott s decision to give the two women protagonists counter
stereotypical roles doesn t alter the road film genre but instead shows us the heroic survival of
women escaping from a misogynistic society.
In the very first scene, the director is quick to challenge our expectations of how gender stereotypes
are foreseen in a patriarchal Southern U.S.

Racial Inequality In To Kill A Mockingbird Essay
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee shows a lot of racial or social issues, especially against the
African Americans, such as racial inequality and poor treatment of the poor or homeless; both of
these are still at least partially seen today. Harper Lee uses the unfair trial of Tom Robinson and
his cruel death to show racial inequality, especially towards the African Americans. Towards the
end of the trial, Lee describes how the jury acts when they come back in as: A jury never looks
at a defendant it has convicted, and when this jury came in, not one of them looked at Tom
Robinson... (Lee 282). Then, Judge Taylor announces the verdict: Guilty... guilty... guilty...
guilty... (Lee 282). Later on, Atticus comes home after finding out about Tom Robinson s death:
Tom s dead.... They got him just as he went over the fence.... Seventeen bullet holes in him (Lee
315). Based on this evidence, it is clear that racial inequality was evident in the 1930 s because
with prior knowledge from the novel, we know that Tom didn t stand much of a chance against
the jury because of his being African American. Also, if a white man had done what Tom did, he
probably would have been given a fairer trial than Tom was. Even though, the police obviously
wanted him dead as he tried to escape prison, there was no reason to shoot him seventeen times.
Racial inequality can still been seen in the country, and around the world, but doesn t seem to be
as bad as it had been; some statistics show it improved soon after, but some facts show it took
longer. One statistic showing that racial inequality has gotten better states, In 1980, over 50% of
the Blacks aged 25 or more had completed high school, and, by 2012, 85% (Coleman 183).One
fact stating that racial inequality took a while before improving states, Even after the slaves were
freed, the African Americans continued to face legal discrimination and segregation until the
victories of the civil rights movement in the 1960 s ( Preface to What... 1). This evidence shows
that racial inequality didn t really improve at first. After the civil rights movement, things improved
for the African Americans. From the statistic, the reader knows that between 1980 and 2012, a little

The Psychology Of Addictions Of Freud And Halsted
Addictions are when a person cannot control their actions or urges when dealing with the object of
their addiction.
Addictions are sometimes formed from habits. For example, if you take a drug for a medical
condition then you may develop an addiction to the drug.
Sigmund Freud, born 1856 and William Halsted, born 1852, are considered two main contributors
to the psychology of addictions. The 1880s is when Freud and Halsted s experimentation with
cocaine started, as they were unaware that cocaine is extremely addictive, they became addicted to
it themselves.
One of the effects of being addicted to something is tolerance. Tolerance occurs when, after some

The Isolation Of Women During The Victorian Era
1.This quote goes back to the concept of isolation and independence. Here just like in the
beginning of the book, Jane feels isolated and alone and feels like no one can help and ironically it
is her cousins who alienated her to begin with but now are bringing her in.
2. Another clear reference to gender equality and the lack of it as well as a comment on class roles.
Here Bronte shows the absurdity of gender restriction and attempts to shed light on the fact that
women during the Victorian era had no rights and were too restricted.

That political world view, in turn, leads us to believe
that the information and set of sources we are accessing are really all we need to

If one is not given a reason to seek out further information, they are unlikely to find it otherwise.
The information given to people seems credible because it is the only familiar source. Any other
information from a different source will seem invalid and therefore not credible. An additional
issue is that politicians will lie to gain support. Claudia Mills Ph.D., author, and professor of
philosophy at University of Colorado Boulder with thirty four years of experience touches upon
the issue of manipulation in politics. In their unseemly scramble for office, politicians have
been derided for negative advertising, sound bite sloganeering, pandering to popular prejudice,
and various species of more or less outright lying. Many of these behaviors are subsumed under
the general heading of manipulation (Mills). Gaining support

destruction is one of the first things that comes to mind, the spread of hatred and complete cities
in ruins is another point of reference. However, who and what survived the war is often forgotten
and merely mentioned at the fore front of discussions. Robert M. Edsel s The Monuments Men

He does this with a sizable group of characters and various viewpoints from different groups to

element to the reader s ability to understand the factual happenings of the real life experiences the

consistent level of interest. Edsel is right to call it the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History because of
the brutal and burdensome work that when into this stringent mission and the primary sources used

School counselors should be able to distinguish the differences between individual and group
dissimilarities and strive to value all students and groups equally. They should advocate for the
equitable treatment of all students in their school and in their community. If a school counselor
wants to be successful in ensuring an equity based program, they should consider the role of

It is imperative the school counselors develop a culture of equity in their school, and that their
counseling program reflects this philosophy. This paper will analyze four inequity scenarios that

to close these inequity gaps.
The education of students with disabilities in school s today is being shaped by two laws: the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA) and the Elementary and
Secondary Education Act (ESEA) which is also known as the No Child Left Behind Act

concerns that students with disabilities have come in discussing the same issues and wondered if
he could teach these students as a group. Group therapy allows for a safe and confidential

What Is The Theme Of She Was A Phantom Of Delight By...
IntroductionThe poem She Was a Phantom of Delight was written by William Wordsworth
which was published in 1807. In this poem Wordsworth describes his wife, Mary Hutchinson and
his reaction to her. He describes her first as an ideally beautiful woman, then an enjoyable
companion and a housewife and finally as an intellectual and moral being who is capable of
guiding him. He chooses to depict three points in their developing relationship: when they first
met; as they began to know each other better; and now that they are married. Beginning with a
distant view that offers an apparition, he closes up to a more realistic and spiritual view of his
wife. The poem s overall tone is of admiration and respect. This poem shows how their relationship

By observing a woman s eternal beauty, Wordsworth successfully conveys his discovery of what
makes his wife truly beautiful. Beginning with a distant view that offers an illusion, he closes up
to a more realistic and spiritual appreciation of his wife. The poem is well organized because it
has a clear structure which gives us correct understanding. In my opinion the poet wants to
depict each and every detail of the lady from the day he met her till now when they are happily
married. The beauty which the poet describes about her is eloquent but at the same time it is
very calm and soft, something delicate. The sound of the poem is mesmerizing and melodic.
The poem s overall tone is of admiration and respect. This poem shows how their relationship
grows and how he comes to appreciate her for many different reasons. The poem has a logical
order and the analysis makes us capture the main ideas of the poet. But being a romantic
description it is also a profound and realistic one. Other aspects I want to talk about are the

As late as the 1960 s people thought of anyone with a disability as stigmatic. If someone was

mind set started to change in the 1960 s around the time of the civil rights movement and the
women s rights movement, that is when the comics for the X Men came out. It was meant to show
people, even though others are different, they could be special too. X Men was meant to show it
is okay to be different and for your friends to be different. They also do a good job to show that
not every difference is physical, several of the characters also look normal but have a mental
ability. I think this shows it is okay to have a disability or to be different then other people. Not
everyone is going to have the Ideal body or mind and it is okay. If you used to be different, you
wanted to try to find a way to hide what made you different. This is also shown in the movie. The
character named Beast wanted to find anyway to hide his disfigurement and went as far as to
create a drug to cure himself so he would look normal. He offered the drug to Mystique also so
she could always look normal. By the time he had created the drug Mystique had realized it is
okay to be different, she had embraced it and turns down the drug. Beast still takes the drug

he could hide is now very prominent. This could have been avoided if he would have realized that

Historically, the French culture was influenced by Celtic and Gallo Roman cultures as well as the

Rhineland but it later came to refer to a territory that was known as Gaul during the Iron Age and
Roman era.

skewed. Nintendo s newfound dominance of the market is causing some headaches for Sony and
Microsoft. However, as the Wiis target market is slightly different from that of either the Xbox

A Research On Big Data
Big Data is a term for very large amounts of formal and informal information that can be analyzed
to find trends and patterns. The information can be about anything, but it needs to be processed
in a way that will give it value and relevance. It can come in multiple formats and from different
sources such as large databases, electronic records, social media, mobile phones, apps, wearable
devices such as pedometers, and others. Different data sets are combined and contrasted in
different ways to give perspectives and insights about a topic. It can be used in a seemly endless
number of ways and people are discovering new ways to use it all the time, some of them
entertaining. The largest areas of use include those relating to consumer behavior and choices,
business procedures, healthcare, science and research, and law enforcement. People are also
discovering its use in their personal lives as well for things like buying a home, dating, fitness
routines and travel. With all the potential benefits that can come from big data, however, it also
brings a big potential for privacy problems. Extensive personal data can be gathered about people
that can be used or abused. In an interview with Harvard Business Review, With Big Data Comes
Big Responsibility, Professor Alex Sandy Pentland from MIT talks about his New Deal on Data to
address data collection and privacy. The concept is a set of principles and practices to define the
ownership of data and control its flow (Harvard

The Chevrolet Volt Adventure
The second chapter of the Chevrolet Volt adventure is about to begin. Fans of this hybrid
electric vehicle have been keeping a close eye on all things Volt, learning early on the new model
has a lower price and is more efficient than the first generation vehicle. This week, the EPA
confirmed that the 2016 Chevrolet Volt provides a 53 mile electric range, leading to a nearly 40
percent longer range on a single charge.
Range is the be all and end all of EV driving. Although the Volt has a 1.5 liter power generator to
provide fuel to run the electric motor when the battery is depleted, most buyers want prefer to rely
on low cost electricity only. Not only is electricity cheaper than gasoline, but when operating in EV
mode only, emissions output is near ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Planned right, a Volt owner could travel more than 1,000 miles before needing to stop at a fueling
station again provided that they regularly charge the vehicle.
Five model years after releasing the first generation Chevrolet Volt, GM is applying other changes
that will enhance the ownership experience.
Indeed, the new Volt will better utilize the electric motor when driving. In the first generation
model, the 111 kilowatt traction electric motor operated independently of the 55 kilowatt gasoline
generator. The new model allows the Voltec power system to use both motors concurrently under
certain driving circumstances. It also relies on a 75 kilowatt gasoline generator to deliver more
power as needed.
Regular Grade Gasoline Okayed
Overall fuel efficiency is up too. The first generation Volt achieved 37 mpg. The second
generation model is EPA rated at 42 mpg. Where the first generation model required premium fuel,
the all new Volt takes regular grade gasoline. That alone will enable customers to save at least 10
percent at the

Implementing A Country s Legal System Essay
1.A constitution explains the principles that form the framework of a country s legal system. It
establishes the major institutions of the government, mentions their fundamental controls, and
makes general rules about how those controls can be exercised. New Zealand s constitution is found
in several important documents (such as the Treaty of Waitangi) rather than in a single document.
The New Zealand (NZ) constitution is the foundation from which other laws are developed. It
addresses all the regulations and rights of NZ citizens that include: your right to vote,
responsibilities of parents to their children and so forth. Comparative to the NZ constitution, the
United States (US) constitution is more structured in the sense that it is found in a four page
document. It incorporates the principles outlined in the Declaration of Independence and it
indicates how the various government departments are expected to operate. These departments are
divided into three branches: Legislative Congress and Senate (establish legislation), Executive
President (sign treaties) and Judicial Supreme Court (take appeals from courts and States, interpret
the law). These characteristics of the U.S. constitution are also a point of differentiation between
the two constitutions. Therefore, the main difference between the two constitutions is that the NZ
constitution is not found in a single document whereas the U.S. constitution is compiled in a four
page document. 2.A unitary

My Paper On Is Educational Psychology
The topic pertinent to psychology that i chose to do my paper on is educational psychology.
Educational psychology is the study of how humans learn and retain knowledge, primarily in
educational settings like classrooms. This branch not only involves just the learning process of
early childhood and adolescence but it also involves the social, emotional, and cognitive learning
processes that are involved in humans throughout their entire lifespan. Educational psychology
combines numerous amounts of other branches of psychology, including: developmental
psychology, behavioral psychology, and cognitive psychology. Educational psychology
is an
approximately new subfield that has had a huge amount of growth in recent years. The four major
perspectives in educational psychology are: Behavioral perspective, developmental perspective,
cognitive perspective, and the constructivist approach. The behavioral perspective proposes that all
behaviors are learned through conditioning. An example of this would be a teacher handing out
tickets for participating in class or good behavior that can later be exchanged for candy or toys.
The developmental perspective suggest how children obtain new skills and knowledge as they
develop. An example of this is Jean Piaget s distinguished stages of cognitive development. The
cognitive perspective has become much more acclaimed in recent decades, mostly because it
suggest how things such as memories, emotions, motivations, and beliefs influence

Lobster Industry
In Where Have All the Exploiters Gone? Co Management of the Maine Lobster Industry , author
James M. Acheson validates Garret Hardin s logic in Tragedy of the Commons that property rights
do in fact help conserve resources. Acheson also refutes basic principles set forth by Hardin that
users of open access resources have no vested interest in preserving resources over the long term
and are unable to generate regulating mechanisms.
The Maine Lobster fisherman have developed a widely used and accepted territorial system for
regulating access to lobster fishing grounds on the coast of Maine. The system is an informal
system that it is not legislatively created or mandated, but is communally imposed and enforced by
the local fishing communities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fisherman strongly believed that the notching process during culling, which made the sexually
proven females off limits and illegal to harvest in the future, helped in the conservation efforts and
ensured those proven breeding females would be returned to the waters. There they would be
legally protected to continue breeding without danger of being harvested in the future. Studies
validated the local fishermen s theory that females in the population showing spawned eggs were
statistically more likely to breed again and consequently would increase the egg stock in the waters
and health of the lobster populations. The Department of Marine Resources felt that the notching of
the females created conditions for infection of the females at the notch location. However, the
Department yielded at the insistence of the fishermen. There was evidence provided that the
practice was in fact helping the conservation effort. In addition, there was much discussion between
the groups of the effectiveness of conservation efforts such as minimum harvest size, trap limits,
licenses and escape vents on traps. The lobster fishermen actively participated in the decision
making process and worked through their own lobbying efforts to guide and shape legislation for
the Maine lobster industry that both reflected their own conservation

Essay on State and International Assessment
State and International Assessment
Assessment is the driving force behind every aspect of teaching today. There is an increasing
focus on grades, as well as a growing concern for US performance, in schools compared to others
abroad. As a result, standards of learning have not only been developed for each state, but are now
being strictly enforced as well. This has caused much controversy over the effectiveness and
legitimacy of the standards and over their consequences. By examining various educational
resources, in addition to speaking with teachers and administrators, contrasting views become
clearer.

International testing, such as the TIMSS, has shown us that rigorous content, focused curriculum,
and good teaching are all critical to improved national performance.
As for state assessment, Virginia tests students knowledge of science by administering the
Standards of Learning (SOL) test in grades three, five, and eight, as well as in high school Earth
science, biology, and chemistry. In some areas, promotion to grades four, six, and nine is
contingent upon student performance on these SOL tests. Graduation from high school may also
depend on students passing two SOL science tests. School districts within the state of Virginia are
required to provide additional academic support for students who perform poorly on these tests.
The state allocates special funding for such intervention programs. There are eight standard setting
committees that recommend the guidelines for interpreting score ranges. However, Virginia s
Board of Education makes the final decision on which scores are passing, proficient, or failing.
There is a test question for each of the standards, thus teachers are responsible for providing
instruction that covers all of the standards content areas for their particular grades. Virginia SOL
tests affect the classroom by providing teachers with a template for instruction.

Western Civilization Essays
Western Civilization from 1589 to 1914 had many specific changes that contributed to the structure
of the western world before World War I. In the absolutism state sovereignty is embodied in the
person of the ruler. Kings were absolute kings and were resposible to no none except god. In the
seventeenth and eighteenth centuries absolute rulers had to respect the fundamental laws of their
land. They had to control competing jurisdictions, institutions or groups that were interested in their
territory. They regulated religious sects. France of Louis was the classic model of absolutism.

the world of science. He discovered the laws of motion using the experimental method. He also
used the experimental method to astronomy, using the newly invented telescope. Galileo was tried
by the Inquisition for heresy in 1633 and forced to recant his views. The scientific revolution caused
the Medieval Universities to provide frame world for new science. The renaissance stimulated by
science rediscovering ancient mathematics and supporting scientific investigations. The scientific
community s primary goal was to expand knowledge. Because the link between pure science and
applied technology was weak, the scientific revolution had little effect on daily life before the 19th
century.
The Enlightenment also had its benefits to the western world. The Enlightenment was an
intellectual and cultural movement that tied together certain key ideas and was the link between
the scientific revolution and a new world view. Some of these ideas were the natural science and

Analytical Review Of Jaws
The shark theme appeared for the first time on the film during the opening credits, with the camera
view under the sea symbolizing the view of the shark when it swims underwater. The theme has
couple music arrangements played by different instruments which are bass, celli, trombone and
tuba. Part of the music seems be played by alternating two notes. Apart from that, the music is also
played in high register and has a menacing tone. Part of the music is in slow tempo, part of it has
fast tempo.
The slow tempo part of the theme is signifying the behavior of the shark that comes to its victim
quietly and cautiously without the acknowledgement of the victim. Meanwhile, the fast tempo part
of the theme symbolizes the moment when the shark attacks

a further seven hours at home studying. With me however, the exhaustion stacks up and thrusts in
in the early hours of the morning. I wake up dog tired and this sometimes leads to me being late
for my lectures. If I somehow, do get to school early I cannot function productively and effectively

  • 2. Paul Cezanne On The Banks Of A River Analysis The mesmerizing painting created by the 20th Century French artist Paul Cezanne portrays how even incomplete works are capable of depicting its own form of art and overall experience. His painting On the Banks of a River is constructed using oil on canvas and is an unfinished lifelike rendering of a natural scenery; well preserved today at the RISD Museum. Cezanne s process of paintingand his techniques are clearly discernible in this early stage of art. Likely using a wide brush, his paint strokes are both purposeful and confident where his objective is to present only the most vital parts of the piece and each object s location, creating an artwork made up of blocky, thick, and layered strokes similar to that of impasto paintings (a technique that layers large amounts of paint in order to form a larger picture). From close up it is challenging to distinguish the subject of the painting besides multicolored blotches of paint, but at a distance one can grasp the different shapes and colors merge to form a complete landscape. There are also three layers to this work, each diverse and together offers a sense of depth in the form of overlapping grounds and value contrasts. The foreground is the warmest, composed mainly of a sandy yellow color dotted with gray streaks possibly representative of stones or pavement, with some blue highlights to contrast the dirty yellow. The middle ground is the most detailed and consists of many dark colors and bright red and yellow geometric ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Abigail Adams Essays Abigail Adams Abigail Adams was and still is a hero and idle for many women in the United States. As the wife of John Adams, Abigail used her position to bring forth her own strong federalist and strong feminist views. Mrs. Adams was one of the earliest feminists and will always influence today s women. Abigail Adams was born Abigail Smith in 1744 at Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was a descendent of the Qunicys , a very prestigious family in the colonies, on her mothers side. On her fathers side Abigail was a descendent of Congressional Ministers. During a time when women did not receive a formal education, her grandmother at home taught Abigail. Her eagerness to learn and to read is what created a bond between John Adams ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If perticular care and attention is not paid to the ladies we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice, or representation. The reaction of John Adams was less than satisfactory. He responded by telling Abigail that he had laughed at her request. He called her letter saucy and told her he had more to deal with than the request of women. This angered Abigail and she wrote to Mercy Otis Warren on April 27, 1776: He is very saucy to me in return for a List of Female Grievances which I transmitted to him. I think I will get you to join me in a petition to congress. I thought it was very probable our wise statesmen would erect a new government and form a new code of laws. I ventured to speak a word on behalf of our sex, who are rather hardly dealt with by the laws of England which gives such unlimited power to the husband to use his wife. I believe I even threatened formenting a Rebellion in case we were not considered and assured him we would not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we had neither a voice nor representation. This letter is a fine example of Abigail Adams strong feminist and strong federalist views. These letters represented the turmoil felt by women during the uncertain times facing the colonies. The views of Abigail Adams became the first in a long line of cries out for women s equality. The American Revolution may have won equal rights for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The United Nations Convention Of Combat Desertification The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) was ratified in 1996. It is a multilateral agreement which was made to address desertification. Desertification is defined as the land degradation in arid, semi arid and dry sub humid areas, generally known as drylands . Many African states believed their sustainable development was being obstructed due to issues such as poverty, and food insecurity and were not being given necessary attention by the international political community . The need for an international convention was based on the argument that although the effects of desertification are often felt locally, it could not be ignored that globally contributed changes such as climate change and changes in soil and ... Land desertification could be analyzed against other factors such as geology, and human action . In addition the use of GIC and various soil indicators and food production can be used to quantify the improvement of desertification. The use of GDP as well as the Human Development Index can be used to measure the improvements of poverty and education. Identification and Description of Challenges One of the greatest difficulties that arises when dealing with an environmental issue such as desertification on an international scale is the fact that its affects are not geographically universal. For instance, regions of Africa and Asia are highly susceptible to land degradation and its affects are often only apparent at the local level. As such, during early debates concerning desertification there was much reluctance coming from developed countries to recognize it as a global concern. Many developed countries, especially within Europe, argued that land degradation was a local problem that results from the cumulative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Country Has Made Over Their Long Living History There are four international ports that connect the United States to Central America; Juarez is one of these important four. Juarez once known as Paso del Norte (pass of the north) lies on the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo del Norte). Juarez was founded in the 1600s and has since been in the top ten largest populated cities in the world. When people think of Juarez and other cities in Mexico, there are many stigmas held strongly against them. Nowadays, Mexico is perceived as a dangerous and horrible place to live. Of course certain assumptions and stereotypes have some validity with the drug cartel, murders, and high crime rates playing a part in their perception of the country. However, even with the devastation and crime there is beauty and importance that lies at the very roots of Mexico. In my paper I wish to express the many positive impacts the country has made over their long living history. Juarez has been a strong and thriving city with an interesting history of its people, agriculture and the economy. The history of Juarez starts in the sixteen hundreds, specifically in sixteen fifty nine when it was known as Paso Del Norte. Spanish explorers sought out a route though the southern part of the Rocky Mountains. At the time there were Native Americans that had already been located in that area which made it perfect for explores to establish a community. While all of my cousins shrieked and closed their eyes, I felt totally engaged. Will we become more violent if we watch these movies? Will we become a gore loving, emotionally insensitive society? What is it about scary movies that we love so much? It all comes back to the Human Condition. Facing our fears, establishing our sense of normalcy, and experiencing a weird sort of fun are all solid claims that Stephen King states in his essay Why We Crave Horror Movies. Horror is an opportunity for us humans to face our fears. Reading Stephen King s short story Strawberry Spring is a perfect example that we use horror to show that...we are not afraid (King, Why We Crave 1). We go to prove ourselves as brave. In comparison, watching horror movies is alike daring the nightmare (King, Why We Crave 1). In this case, the nightmare is facing our fears, considering horror films are equivalent to going through a literal nightmare. To point out, the narrator in Strawberry Spring is enchanted by that dark and mist blown strawberry spring, and by the shadow of violent death that walked through it... (King, Strawberry Spring 1). As a matter of fact, we are all enchanted by the darkness in the story just as the narrator is. Additionally, King describes this process as riding a roller coaster by reason of a really good horror movie may... surprise a scream out of us... the way we may scream when the roller coaster ... • 12. Should Ionizing Radiation Be Used In Medical Diagnosis INTRODUCTION Radiation procedures used to diagnose medical conditions over the past century have grown from a scientific curiosity to a pervasive, essential part of modern health care. Radiology originated with ionizing radiation to diagnose human disease, however since discovering the physiological risks associated with ionizing radiation, such as mutation/cancer, an ongoing controversy arises as to whether ionizing radiation should be used in medical diagnosis. This investigation will analyze each end of the argument continuum to determine if ionizing radiation should continue to be used in medical diagnosis. There are different types of ionizing radiation, including gamma rays and x rays, which have been known to cause cancer. Additionally, because x rays can kill living cells, when improperly used they can cause severe burns, cancer, leukemia, and cataracts. Having few procedures employing ionizing radiation throughout your life may seem harmless, but as the levels of doses increase, your risk of developing cancer rises at the same rate, according to the LNT model. Figure 4 below exhibits potential medical consequences of certain periods of exposure to ionizing radiation: CONCLUSION Given the evidence, it can be concluded that while there are risks that arise with ionizing radiation in medical diagnosis, overall the benefits outweigh the risks, as doctors are able to diagnose various health concerns that would go undetected otherwise. If I owned my own company, I would definitely support telecommuting. However, I would have to be one hundred percent sure the person choosing this option, has the dedication and commitment it takes to succeed at work from home position. Not everyone will have the right work skills, leadership, or requirements needed to take on a work from home job. The only way most people would find out if telecommuting is right for them is to try it part time. If anyone wants to do it on a full time basis, they should try it for a week or two to see how they handle it, and then decide if this would be an advantage for them, or if it is more of a disadvantage. When telecommuting, it is crucial for people to adjust their schedule to make sure they can manage their time concerning work to get all their goals and deadlines accomplished. According to James G Webster, media can be defined as a way of communicating with the general public; newspapers, magazines, television, and billboards. Being exposed to mass media s glorification of slim and modified bodies can over time lead to a negative body image, and that possibly leading to extreme dieting and mental health problems, such as an eating disorder. For physician assisted suicide to even be considered, the patient must be of sound mind when they are requesting deathwith dignity. Physician assisted suicideshould be a legal option for people who are unable to end their own lives. However, there should be safeguards to prevent any sort of abuse. The matter in the Sacrament of Eucharist is the bread and wine, which changes into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Sacrament of Eucharist is dated in the Bible as far back to the Old Testament, indirectly as the Israelites flee from Egypt in the desert, and God gives them manna to eat. This happens multiple times while the Israelites are searching for the Promised Land. The most important part of the Bible when the Eucharistis received, is when Jesus and the Apostles are at the Last Supper. Through the Sacrament of Eucharist, Jesus breaks the bread and passes it around to his apostles. Then, Jesus says that one of them will betray him, and whoever dips the bread in the wine at the same time he does will be the one who will betray him. The mining of diamonds contributes to the poverty in Sierra Leone and makes it harder to escape it. The process of producing the diamonds so they could be sold on the market involved many steps which were illustrated in the movie, Blood Diamond. Smugglers like Archer would supply the RUF with guns. The guns would be used by the RUF to intimidate the people of Sierra Leone into working as laborers for them; we see this with Solomon and his son. These men would be forced to dig in the water mines for hours a day searching for diamonds of all sizes. Then the diamonds are mixed with other diamonds all around the world, mixing the illegal ones with the legal ones; this was explained in the movie by Archer to Maggie. When the diamonds are mixed in with the others, no one can determine for certainty where each originated from. The export of the diamonds relies on how well Sierra Leone s resources are to produce it and its resources are the laborers mining for the diamonds. More diamonds are exported out of the country when there are more laborers mining for them. It is then distributed to nations where they are made into necklaces and bracelets, and no questions are asked. • 27. Gender Stereotypes In Thelma And Louise Directed by Ridley Scott and released in 1991, the feminist film Thelma Louise is one that deserves recognition for challenging viewers expectations of how gender stereotypes are foreseen in a patriarchal Southern U.S. society. Ultimately providing a negative message for female audiences, the film portrays two women s struggles in rising above a society exclusively governed by men. The story follows Thelma Dickinson, an unhappily married housewife who throughout her life, has been placed in a subjugated position by her narcissistic, unappreciative and oppressive husband, Darryl. Over the course of this film, viewers observe Thelma s dramatic evolution into a highly independent female figure alongside her best friend Louise Sawyer. Their relationship is an important aspect of the film as it reinforces how dependant they are on each other, especially when society has turned their backs on them. As both travel on a both physical and emotional journey of self discovery, the duo begins to truly realise who they are as women. There is no good reason as to why they should have to put up with men looking down upon them all the time. Scott s decision to give the two women protagonists counter stereotypical roles doesn t alter the road film genre but instead shows us the heroic survival of women escaping from a misogynistic society. • 28. Racial Inequality In To Kill A Mockingbird Essay In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee shows a lot of racial or social issues, especially against the African Americans, such as racial inequality and poor treatment of the poor or homeless; both of these are still at least partially seen today. Harper Lee uses the unfair trial of Tom Robinson and his cruel death to show racial inequality, especially towards the African Americans. Towards the end of the trial, Lee describes how the jury acts when they come back in as: A jury never looks at a defendant it has convicted, and when this jury came in, not one of them looked at Tom Robinson... (Lee 282). Then, Judge Taylor announces the verdict: Guilty... guilty... guilty... guilty... (Lee 282). Later on, Atticus comes home after finding out about Tom Robinson s death: Tom s dead.... They got him just as he went over the fence.... Seventeen bullet holes in him (Lee 315). Based on this evidence, it is clear that racial inequality was evident in the 1930 s because with prior knowledge from the novel, we know that Tom didn t stand much of a chance against the jury because of his being African American. Also, if a white man had done what Tom did, he probably would have been given a fairer trial than Tom was. Even though, the police obviously wanted him dead as he tried to escape prison, there was no reason to shoot him seventeen times. Racial inequality can still been seen in the country, and around the world, but doesn t seem to be as bad as it had been; some statistics show it improved soon after, but some facts show it took longer. One statistic showing that racial inequality has gotten better states, In 1980, over 50% of the Blacks aged 25 or more had completed high school, and, by 2012, 85% (Coleman 183).One fact stating that racial inequality took a while before improving states, Even after the slaves were freed, the African Americans continued to face legal discrimination and segregation until the victories of the civil rights movement in the 1960 s ( Preface to What... 1). In my opinion the poet wants to depict each and every detail of the lady from the day he met her till now when they are happily married. Comparative to the NZ constitution, the United States (US) constitution is more structured in the sense that it is found in a four page document. It incorporates the principles outlined in the Declaration of Independence and it indicates how the various government departments are expected to operate. These departments are divided into three branches: Legislative Congress and Senate (establish legislation), Executive President (sign treaties) and Judicial Supreme Court (take appeals from courts and States, interpret the law). These characteristics of the U.S. constitution are also a point of differentiation between the two constitutions.
