1. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon lived in great comfort and prosperity but had a dream that frightened him. Daniel interpreted the dream, warning the king to repent. 2. Later, while admiring his kingdom, Nebuchadnezzar boasted about his own power and achievements. As a result, God punished him by driving him from society and making him live like an animal for seven years. 3. After this time, Nebuchadnezzar's sanity returned and he praised God, recognizing God's eternal rule and ability to humble the proud. He was then restored as king of Babylon with even greater honor.
