Nebuchadnezzar II was the king of Babylon from around 605 BC to 562 BC. He is mentioned frequently in the Bible, especially in the book of Daniel, for conquering Judah and destroying Jerusalem in 586 BC. According to the book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar was given dreams by God that were interpreted by Daniel, and after being driven insane for seven years, Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the one true God as supreme. While it is uncertain if Nebuchadnezzar was truly saved, the story demonstrates God's sovereignty over all rulers.
