The delegation from Mexico will discuss how Halloween is celebrated in their country. In Mexico, Halloween is celebrated along with the Day of the Dead from October 27th to November 2nd. Families decorate and clean the graves of loved ones, telling stories to their spirits. Children dress up in homemade costumes and go door-to-door asking for money instead of candy. They try to scare people by running through the streets in groups and demanding money from anyone who sees them. The Day of the Dead tradition began as a way to spend time with deceased family members whose remains were buried at home.

2. SPEECH
Halloween Debate.
Good morning members of the Chair, Delegates and Audience
Halloween is celebrated differently in every country. In Mexico Halloween is
celebrated, but they celebrate too the day of deads, Halloween starts the 27 of
October, each family goes to the graves of closest familys members and
friends, they decorate them and clean them, they take turns to talk to the spirit
of the person until they’ve talked to more than 1 spirit, this celebration extends
until november the 2nd when they celebrate the day of deads. During this days
the children get dreesed by handmade costumes, they go trough the streets
asking for money instead of candies, but in the stores they do ask for
candies, the kids like to dress scary and terrify people, when they run through
the streets they are separated into groups, so when they go and ask for money
only one of them goes to talk to the person while the others hide, and just when
the person is taking out money they all go so he has to give money to them all,
The day of the deads was introduced because before the people were burried in
their own homes or near them and the people believe that on october 31st the
children spirits are going to return on midnight and spend the day with their
families and then leave, and that in the next day the adults come.

3. POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
*Create capaings in which the young people can keep the
tradition of celebrating halloween because that is a way in
which they can express in what they believe wether it’s
true or no
*Celebrate Halloween in a way in which we respect every
cultures and different religions,
*Every culture most be concentrated about how their
country or society celebrate Halloween, not in what way
other societys celebrate this day.

We brought general information and polly gave us the delegation, we are
mexico. Then we started to investigate deeper on mexico, for today we
have to start and finish the speech and possible solutions, we started the
speech based on things we researched and then class was over
20 October
We researched information about halloween in mexico
21 October
We continued researching deeper in the information of mexico and added
some Little things to the speech.
22 October
We went to Elisa Giraldo house and finished everything, Speech,
possible solutions and did the powerpoint to upload it to the blog.
