Halloween is celebrated on October 31st and has its origins in the Celtic tradition of believing the spirits of the dead returned on this day. Many families carve pumpkins together to make jack-o-lanterns and put them in their windows. Children dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating, going door-to-door saying "trick or treat" and receiving candies from homes.
