Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. It originated from the Celtic tradition of believing the spirits of the dead would come alive on this day. Many families now carve pumpkins and place them with candles inside as Jack-o-lanterns. Children dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating by visiting houses, saying "trick or treat", and receiving candies from each home.
