Introduction to Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling
Supermint Racing was created in 2015 by Lindsay Goldman and Jono Coulter as a
women’s professional cycling team co-title sponsored by Seattle law firm and
long-term cycling patron Hagens Berman. We wanted to build a team that
provided stability to our staff and riders through a strong business model, enabling
them to earn race results while delivering value and return on investment to sponsors.
Since then, we have developed a huge fan base, contested races across North
America, landed on dozens of podiums, and implemented a well-publicized
Ambassador Program to connect our riders and sponsors with women across all levels of cycling.
Our team has a stellar reputation; we are known by
media, spectators, fans, and sponsors for racing hard and
visibly at every event. We achieve top results while
maintaining a strong social media presence, providing
professional photographs from races and team events,
promoting our sponsors, and engaging the cycling
community through initiatives like our Ambassador
Program. Our goal is to make a measurable difference
on and off the bike through meaningful connections with
fans, partners, and sponsors.

The Growing Business of Women’s Cycling
Women’s cycling is one of the fastest growing segments of the roughly $6.5 billion cycling industry.
Internationally, the Women’s WorldTour is in its third season, promoting events worldwide at the
highest level of the sport while mandating participation of top teams, minimum prize purses, and live
media coverage. At the national level, the majority of the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour (PRT) events and
all of the USA Crits events feature pro women’s races, many of which are broadcasted live and offer
prize purses equal to the men’s events. Equality for women is becoming the expectation, not the
exception, both inside and outside of cycling.
Sponsoring a women’s professional team demonstrates to fans and consumers your company believes
in creating opportunities and promoting equality for women. This helps the growth of women’s cycling,
while also enabling your organization to better connect with female consumers everywhere. Women
want to support companies that support them, and we want to help you tap into that consumer base.

Team Plan for 2019 Season
The 2018 season has been extremely successful, with the team earning dozens of podiums and leader’s
jerseys at international-level events and generating significant media and fan attention for our animated
racing style and our new Ambassador Program, created to build greater connections between
professional and grassroots cycling. In 2019, we will build on this success, targeting wins at more UCI
and USA Cycling PRT races, continuing to grow our fan base, and pursuing a National Championship
title. To accomplish these objectives:
• We have re-signed the majority of our current roster, as well as the 2018 Professional Criterium
National Champion. We intend to add 1-2 additional top riders to bolster our squad.
• We will pursue a similar but expanded race calendar, attending the Women’s WorldTour, UCI, and
USA Cycling PRT events across North America.
• The Ambassador Program will return with 11 new ambassadors receiving similar benefits as those
offered in 2018.

What Makes This Team Unique?
§ A Focused Approach. Our team was founded by a director and a rider. We’re in this for love of the
sport and to build a sustainable, successful team with a compelling brand and engaged fanbase.
§ Invested Leadership. We founded this team with our own money and sponsor relationships. We are
fully invested on a personal level. That means you can count on us to make this our #1 priority and
do whatever is necessary to make this team a success. We would not ask for sponsor investments
without being willing to go all in ourselves.
§ Professional Brand Management. We have professional photographers and a marketing team on
staff to produce top-quality media and imagery for our team and partners.
§ Our Riders do Strava AND LinkedIn. Our riders are chosen for their attributes both on and off the
bike because we want to offer more than just riders with results. We believe in offering our partners
spokespeople that are professionals in and out of the sport, bringing diverse career backgrounds
that prepare them to better engage with audiences everywhere.
§ A Focus on Providing Sponsor Value. Our first step in any partnership is to understand your
business, what you need, and how you measure a valuable return on investment. Then we work with
you to develop a sponsorship relationship that delivers that value effectively all year. We won’t
promise you anything we can’t deliver because our goal is a lasting, mutually-beneficial partnership.

The Ambassador Program – Making a Lasting Impact in Cycling
We launched an ambassador program in 2018 to grow women’s cycling,
connect with riders at the grassroots level of the sport, share and promote
our sponsors with a wider audience, and provide our 11 selected
ambassadors a chance to get involved in the world of professional cycling.
Our 11 ambassadors are amateur female cyclists, ages 14-53, across a wide
range of experience levels and cycling disciplines with a desire to grow in
the sport. Through our application process last winter, these ladies
demonstrated that they would be positive representatives of women’s
cycling, our team, and our sponsors.
Program Features:
§ Each ambassador is paired with a rider who provides insight, support,
and encouragement to aid in the ambassador’s growth in the sport.
§ Ambassadors have “backstage” access to the team at races and team
events (team camps, clinics, appearances, etc.).
§ Ambassadors share their cycling experiences and photos through our
private Facebook group, which our team frequently features across our
public social media platforms.
§ Ambassadors receive free and discounted sponsor products/services and team kits.

§ Ambassadors continually promote our sponsors/team across social media and at cycling events.

Your Sponsorship Benefits
Professional quality media. We provide a constant stream of
professional-quality photos showcasing our riders and your brand.
You’ll have access to use these photos however you need to best
promote your brand and showcase your support of the team.
More than just a pretty face. Our team offers fresh faces for
sponsor marketing and can attend company and promotional
events as sponsor representatives. Our riders also have
professional careers outside of cycling that will make them
engaging and educated spokespeople for your brand.
Access to a massive audience. Collectively our staff, riders, and
ambassadors give you access to a huge audience worldwide. Our
team brand is already well-known and loved in the sport. Connect
with that pre-existing relationship to gain the attention of fans that
are excited about your support of our brand. Reach a significantly
expanded consumer base through our ambassadors, who provide
sponsors access to a much broader market than that typically
reached through a professional cycling sponsorship. Our
ambassadors allow you to exponentially connect with women at all
levels of the sport, as well as their partners, friends, colleagues,
and riders in their local communities.

join team rides. Sponsor-promoted
rides are a unique way to engage
employees, clients, and partners.
We can lead rides around the
country and help you connect with
customers in memorable ways.
Support and participation in
company wellness programs. Riders can lead sponsored rides or other health-focused events
(company yoga! midday stretching! happy hour!), connect with and mentor your employees/VIPs
interested in cycling or pursuing an active lifestyle, and participate in company events as
representatives for your corporate culture.
Co-branded apparel and accessories available for purchase online and at events. In addition to
branded jerseys, we can create casual apparel, waterbottles, and accessories that promote your
support and involvement with our team.

  • 2. 2 Introduction to Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling Supermint Racing was created in 2015 by Lindsay Goldman and Jono Coulter as a women’s professional cycling team co-title sponsored by Seattle law firm and long-term cycling patron Hagens Berman. We wanted to build a team that provided stability to our staff and riders through a strong business model, enabling them to earn race results while delivering value and return on investment to sponsors. Since then, we have developed a huge fan base, contested races across North America, landed on dozens of podiums, and implemented a well-publicized Ambassador Program to connect our riders and sponsors with women across all levels of cycling. Our team has a stellar reputation; we are known by media, spectators, fans, and sponsors for racing hard and visibly at every event. We achieve top results while maintaining a strong social media presence, providing professional photographs from races and team events, promoting our sponsors, and engaging the cycling community through initiatives like our Ambassador Program. Our goal is to make a measurable difference on and off the bike through meaningful connections with fans, partners, and sponsors.
  • 3. 3 The Growing Business of Women’s Cycling Women’s cycling is one of the fastest growing segments of the roughly $6.5 billion cycling industry. Internationally, the Women’s WorldTour is in its third season, promoting events worldwide at the highest level of the sport while mandating participation of top teams, minimum prize purses, and live media coverage. At the national level, the majority of the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour (PRT) events and all of the USA Crits events feature pro women’s races, many of which are broadcasted live and offer prize purses equal to the men’s events. Equality for women is becoming the expectation, not the exception, both inside and outside of cycling. Sponsoring a women’s professional team demonstrates to fans and consumers your company believes in creating opportunities and promoting equality for women. This helps the growth of women’s cycling, while also enabling your organization to better connect with female consumers everywhere. Women want to support companies that support them, and we want to help you tap into that consumer base.
  • 4. 4 Team Plan for 2019 Season The 2018 season has been extremely successful, with the team earning dozens of podiums and leader’s jerseys at international-level events and generating significant media and fan attention for our animated racing style and our new Ambassador Program, created to build greater connections between professional and grassroots cycling. In 2019, we will build on this success, targeting wins at more UCI and USA Cycling PRT races, continuing to grow our fan base, and pursuing a National Championship title. To accomplish these objectives: • We have re-signed the majority of our current roster, as well as the 2018 Professional Criterium National Champion. We intend to add 1-2 additional top riders to bolster our squad. • We will pursue a similar but expanded race calendar, attending the Women’s WorldTour, UCI, and USA Cycling PRT events across North America. • The Ambassador Program will return with 11 new ambassadors receiving similar benefits as those offered in 2018.

We’re in this for love of the sport and to build a sustainable, successful team with a compelling brand and engaged fanbase. § Invested Leadership. We founded this team with our own money and sponsor relationships. We are fully invested on a personal level. That means you can count on us to make this our #1 priority and do whatever is necessary to make this team a success. We would not ask for sponsor investments without being willing to go all in ourselves. § Professional Brand Management. We have professional photographers and a marketing team on staff to produce top-quality media and imagery for our team and partners. § Our Riders do Strava AND LinkedIn. Our riders are chosen for their attributes both on and off the bike because we want to offer more than just riders with results. We believe in offering our partners spokespeople that are professionals in and out of the sport, bringing diverse career backgrounds that prepare them to better engage with audiences everywhere. § A Focus on Providing Sponsor Value. Our first step in any partnership is to understand your business, what you need, and how you measure a valuable return on investment. Then we work with you to develop a sponsorship relationship that delivers that value effectively all year. We won’t promise you anything we can’t deliver because our goal is a lasting, mutually-beneficial partnership.
  • 6. 6 The Ambassador Program – Making a Lasting Impact in Cycling We launched an ambassador program in 2018 to grow women’s cycling, connect with riders at the grassroots level of the sport, share and promote our sponsors with a wider audience, and provide our 11 selected ambassadors a chance to get involved in the world of professional cycling. Our 11 ambassadors are amateur female cyclists, ages 14-53, across a wide range of experience levels and cycling disciplines with a desire to grow in the sport. Through our application process last winter, these ladies demonstrated that they would be positive representatives of women’s cycling, our team, and our sponsors. Program Features: § Each ambassador is paired with a rider who provides insight, support, and encouragement to aid in the ambassador’s growth in the sport. § Ambassadors have “backstage” access to the team at races and team events (team camps, clinics, appearances, etc.). § Ambassadors share their cycling experiences and photos through our private Facebook group, which our team frequently features across our public social media platforms. § Ambassadors receive free and discounted sponsor products/services and team kits.
 § Ambassadors continually promote our sponsors/team across social media and at cycling events.

You’ll have access to use these photos however you need to best promote your brand and showcase your support of the team. More than just a pretty face. Our team offers fresh faces for sponsor marketing and can attend company and promotional events as sponsor representatives. Our riders also have professional careers outside of cycling that will make them engaging and educated spokespeople for your brand. Access to a massive audience. Collectively our staff, riders, and ambassadors give you access to a huge audience worldwide. Our team brand is already well-known and loved in the sport. Connect with that pre-existing relationship to gain the attention of fans that are excited about your support of our brand. Reach a significantly expanded consumer base through our ambassadors, who provide sponsors access to a much broader market than that typically reached through a professional cycling sponsorship. Our ambassadors allow you to exponentially connect with women at all levels of the sport, as well as their partners, friends, colleagues, and riders in their local communities.

Invite VIPs – employees, clients, partners – to join event parties, watch races from VIP areas, ride in our team car to follow the action, visit and dine with the riders, and join team rides. Sponsor-promoted rides are a unique way to engage employees, clients, and partners. We can lead rides around the country and help you connect with customers in memorable ways. Support and participation in company wellness programs. Riders can lead sponsored rides or other health-focused events (company yoga! midday stretching! happy hour!), connect with and mentor your employees/VIPs interested in cycling or pursuing an active lifestyle, and participate in company events as representatives for your corporate culture. Co-branded apparel and accessories available for purchase online and at events. In addition to branded jerseys, we can create casual apparel, waterbottles, and accessories that promote your support and involvement with our team.
