(Maximum One Page)
 Attach a one page project overview highlighting the project’s: theme, type of women and public
activities, duration, geographic reach, total budget, and the amount of the request to Donor,
Client, Partner, Funder or Grantmaker.
 Conclude the overview with a 100 word summary, as well as a 35 word synopsis suitable for use

 To help Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) HQ staff assess the project’s viability,
Development Leads must attach a one-page letter from each project partner listed in Table One,
summarizing each organization’s annual cash or in-kind contributions over the duration of the
project.
o Letters of support should be attached to Appendix A of the Proposal.
o The letter is to be on the organization’s letterhead and signed by the individual listed in
Table One.
o In-kind support must be consistent with eligible contributions and included in the budget
summary and in each year’s detailed budget. The letter must include details of the
calculation of the in-kind contribution.
o Funding from all municipal, provincial or federal Non-profit sources should be identified
and included if the funds are being applied to the project.

PROJECT BUDGET
 Complete the attached excel workbook “excel worksheet for GWLN proposal form.xls”. The
budget will form part of the Agreement, and is to be updated and submitted every six months, or
quarterly, as part of regular reporting.
 Include all cash and in-kind contributions from the project lead and partners in the project
revenues section of the budget sheet. Include details of the calculation of the in-kind contribution
in the comments.
 Include all cash and in-kind expenditures in the project expenditures section. Include details of
the calculation of the in-kind expenditures in the comments. There are three types of eligible
expenditures.
o Project Management Costs, which can include:
 Salaries of project management staff employed by the Development Lead
 Costs associated with semi-annual project activity and financial reporting
 Travel costs to attend business meetings related to project management or to
attend meeting Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) convenes
o Project Development Costs, which can include:
 Materials for working models, experiments and demonstrations
 Costs to revise web sites to promote project resources and activities
 Production and distribution of promotional materials for use by project partners
o Project Delivery Costs, which can include:
 Travel costs of mentors and project managers to rural and remote communities
 Travel costs to bring women to laboratories, universities and colleges from rural
and remote communities across Bay Area (NorCal). This includes women
involved in extended mentorship activities
 Consumable supplies used by women
 Costs to accommodate women at research and technology sites in Bay Area
(NorCal)

The budget will form part of the Agreement, and is to be updated and submitted every six months, or quarterly, as part of regular reporting.  Include all cash and in-kind contributions from the project lead and partners in the project revenues section of the budget sheet. This includes women involved in extended mentorship activities  Consumable supplies used by women  Costs to accommodate women at research and technology sites in Bay Area (NorCal)  Travel costs for Bay Area (NorCal) women who have qualified for out-of-state science and engineering competitions  Costs of workshops that assist project partners effectively implement their projects  The cash Project Management Expenditures cannot exceed 40% of Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) funding request.  The total in-kind contributions must equal the total in-kind expenditures for the project.
