Arturo "Zambo" Cavero was a famous Peruvian singer born in 1940 in Lima, Peru. He was given the nickname "Zambo" due to his appearance and became popular across Peru and other countries by selling his phonograph records. Cavero had a unique style and talent for original music that blended Peruvian and Afro-Peruvian influences. He had a close friendship with Oscar Aviles and they created successful music together by showing their good work and creating rhymes. Cavero died in 2005 at the age of 65 after suffering from septicemia.
