This study analyzed the tendency of increasing stress consumption and Greenhouse-gas emissions (GHG-emissions) in today's Swedish post-modern consumption society (as well as in many other post-modern cultures) and potential behavioral changes towards a more sustainable and climate-neutral lifestyle. Psychological theories were selected to illustrate an alternative for a happier lifestyle with decreased stress and GHG-emissions. A model for behavior change integrating attitudes, norms, self-efficacy and intentions for making climate-neutral choices was constructed. The study found that quality of life in this sample was associated with spending time with family and friends, being physically active, and working life, as well as concerns about environmental pollution, unequal global distribution of resources,

Dit rapport is het resultaat van gebruikersonderzoek (enquêtes en focusgroepen) in het kader van het onderzoeksproject Towards a sustainable mobile tourism guide door Memori - Thomas More en iMinds. Zie www.mobielegidsen.be
This talk is about how to secure your front-end + backend applications using a RESTful approach. As opposed to traditional and monolithic server-side applications (where the HTTP session is used), when your front-end application is running on a browser and not securely from the server, there are few things you need to consider.
In this session Alvaro will explore standards like OAuth or JWT to achieve a stateless, token-based authentication and authorization using Spring Security in Grails.

Starbucks began in 1971 as a small coffee bean store in Seattle. In the 1980s, Howard Schultz joined Starbucks and envisioned expanding their business model to include coffee shops like those he saw in Italy. In 1987, Schultz bought Starbucks and transformed it into a national coffeehouse chain. Today, Starbucks has over 20,000 locations worldwide and aims to establish itself as the premier purveyor of high-quality coffee while maintaining its commitment to employees. While Starbucks faces competition from local cafes and fast food chains, its strong brand recognition and pioneering of the coffeehouse industry have allowed it to maintain dominance in the specialty coffee market.

Here are a few suggestions for tracing vulnerabilities and threats across products and marketplaces:
- Use a vulnerability management platform to track known vulnerabilities across all products and services. This can help identify exposures across an organization's digital footprint.
- Consider a threat intelligence platform to monitor dark web marketplaces and hacker forums for any mentions of your brands or products. This provides outside-in visibility into potential risks.
- Audit third-party vendors and open source components used within your offerings. Ensure all dependencies are regularly patched and secure. Many supply chain compromises stem from unpatched or misconfigured external technologies.
- Implement a bug bounty program to encourage external research of your products and attack surfaces. Responsible disclosures can surface

Create better slides and more effective presentationsRoel Palmaers
This document provides design guidelines for creating more effective presentations. It discusses how to apply principles of cognitive science research to presentation design. The key points are:
- Keep slides simple with minimal text and graphics to allow the audience to focus on the presenter rather than the slide content.
- Speakers should understand how people process and retain information through different channels like visual, auditory, and verbal. Effective presentations engage multiple channels.
- Research shows working memory can only process 3-5 pieces of information at once. Slides should limit content to avoid overwhelming the audience's cognitive load.
The document discusses the findings of a study of over 1,500 global CEOs regarding how business leaders can capitalize on complexity in today's interconnected world. It identifies three primary perspectives held by public and private sector leaders: that rapid escalation of complexity is the biggest challenge facing them, their enterprises are not equipped to cope effectively with this complexity, and creativity is the most important leadership competency for navigating complexity. The document recommends that leaders embrace complexity rather than avoid it, reinvent customer relationships, and develop operating dexterity in order to capitalize on complexity.
