Summary of Guest Lecture
Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a guest lecture on the topic “LEAN
MANUFACTURING” at Richard Dawkins Hall, on 08.11.2019 (Friday) -11.30 A.M. The program
was started at 11.35 A.M. and ended 1.15 P.M. The session started with welcome address by
Dr.D.Jeyasimman, Asso. Prof. & Head of Department and Dr.P.K.Srividhya, Professor & Dean
Academic introduced the guest speaker Mr.S.Sankaranarayanan, Velmurugan Heavy Engineering
Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. Thuvakkudi. Guest Speaker delivered his speech about the introduction of Lean
Manufacturing and its recent applications in industries. The students interacted well and the lecture
was quite useful. Totally 42 students were benefitted from this guest lecture. Mr.A.Pugzhenthi, Asst.
Prof./Mech. delivered his vote of thanks for every one present in the Guest Lecture.
