Francisco Guerrero was a highly influential Spanish composer of sacred music in the late 16th century. As the chapel master of Seville Cathedral, he composed 19 masses, requiems, passions, motets and other vocal church music that were widely performed and remained popular for centuries due to their singable, reverent and distinctly Spanish style.
