2. Introduction
For this assignment, we were given to search for a specific empty land
50m x 50m (2500m2
) - 50m x 70m (3500m2
) outside from the Taylor's
University and start a small construction project along with a report
proposal.
The size of the land chosen must not smaller than 50mx50m. From the
project brief, the group work is about to find out the site plan, site
analysis and observation of our site. For the individual component, we are
assigned to tell our suggestion or proposal about what to build in the site,
the rationale, benefits and impacts of your project to the client and the
surrounding community/end user. Then, the sketch plan of our proposal
and concept/ideas; images of the ideas. Lastly, giving the list of
professions involved in their tasks.
The objective of this project is to enable students to acquire an
understanding of the building team, its organization, duties and inter-
relations. Not only that, it also develops an awareness of their
professional responsibilities and to appreciate their profession in the
construction industry.
The site that we had chosen is located nearby of the Forest Heights
Lake, 70100 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. It is an empty land with some
trees behind. The area of the land that we would like to pick is about 50m
x 50m (2500m2
). The land is beside the roads and there are some facilities
around it. It is quite convenient too.

7. Introduction of site
Explanation of location
Our site is an undeveloped barren land located at Forest Height street
2/1, Seremban. It is located at the beside main junction of the road of the
Forest Height residential area. It area is 73.2m x 58.4m large but we
decide to use only part of it because it is too big to be develop.
We decided to choose this land to be our site because it has many
potential to be develop. This site is surrounded by many residential areas
that mainly consist of upper middle class residents The population of the
residential areas is huge that shown a potential increase of the land value
in the future. Right back of our site is a huge area of forest that can
provide shade and fresh air
There are many facilities nearby our site such as school and reaction
area. There is also two supermarket near our site that attract a lot of
people. Thus, we decided to developed this area as it will really benefit
the residents a lot.

Microclimate
Predicted rainfall per year: 2500mm to 3000mm
Sun direction: Although our site surrounded by forest ,but it is still a big
area of empty land. Hence, it receive direct sunshine and huge amount of
heat from the sun. So, our proposal building will be facing north to
prevent the front door from receiving direct sunlight
Temperature: Our site is moderately hot and sultry all year round. It is
cold at the early morning and only about 20 °C(12am-6am) and it turn to
be 25 °C when sun raise in the morning (7am-10am), It is a bit hot at the
afternoon(12pm-5pm)and it is around 30 °C ,the temperature then turn
down when Sun set.

10. Traffic: The traffic condition of the road near our site is always great ,but
it become a bit too overwhelming when in the afternoon when secondary
school class dismiss.
