This document summarizes an undergraduate final year project presentation on implementing automatic transfer switch synchronization at a smart grid. A team of four electrical engineering students presented their solution to provide uninterrupted power supply even when the main utility supply is available or not. They developed a hardware system using an ATS, current transformers, circuit breakers and a synchronization module to seamlessly transfer load between the utility and generator sources. The presentation outlines the problem statement, proposed solution, system components, operation and applications of the automatic transfer switch synchronization approach.
