The document describes Greenopia, a smart pot that has sensors to detect the status of plants, such as their water and sunlight levels and soil conditions. The smart pot allows users to water plants remotely and connects users in an interactive community. The target customers are urban professionals aged 20-50 interested in home gardening, and both novices and experts. The designers used principles of user-centricity, generating multiple alternatives, quick prototyping, and systems thinking. Three working prototypes have been developed and validated, and the product received recognition at an innovation competition.
