GREEN HYDROGEN: POWER IN THE FUTURE
ABSTRACT: Hydrogen fuel holds a promise as a sustainable alternative to
conventional fuels. There are different types of hydrogen including grey,
blue and most notably green hydrogen and their production processes
application of hydrogen fuels are all across different industries ranging
from transportation and energy storage to industrial processes and power
generation
INTRODUCTION: “Hydrogen fuel clean and versatile
offers emissions free energy. From transportation to
power generation its potential is vast. This introduction
outlines its production application and sustainability
benefits.”
TYPES OF HYDROGEN
1) Grey – produced from fossil fuels with carbon emissions.
2) Blue – generated from fuels with carbon capture.
3) Green – derived from renewable sources like electrolysis of water.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
1) Electrolysis
2) Steam Methane Reforming
3) Biomass Gasification
4) Thermochemical water splitting
5) Photoelectrochemical(PEC)
WHAT IS HYDROGEN FUEL?
Hydrogen fuel isa zero-emission fuel when burned with oxygen, if one
considers water not to be an emission
ELECTROLYSIS:
Electrolysis breaks down water into hydrogen and
oxygen using an electric current. It’s a crucial method
of producing hydrogen gas which has various
application in industry and energy sectors, including
fuel cell and clean energy storage.
Application :
1) Transportation : Hydrogen power fuel
cell vehicles, emitting only water vapor.
2) Energy Storage : Hydrogen stores excess
renewable energy for future use.
3) Industry : It fuels processes in refining,
chemicals, and food production.
4) Power Generation : Fuel cells produce
electricity for stationary application.
5) Maritime & Aviation : Hydrogen holds
potential for cleaner shipping and flying.
CONCLUSION : This poster shows how green
hydrogen fuel is vital for a cleaner world. We ‘ve
seen the types of hydrogen and how it’s used in
many ways, like powering vehicles and industries.
As technology improves, green hydrogen offers hope
for a better, greener future.”
FUTURE SCOPE :Toyota new
hydrogen fuel car is called the
Toyota Mirai. It runs on
hydrogen fuel cells emitting
only water vapor. It has its
internal electrolysis system
