• They also told many stories (myths) about the
gods, which were meant to guide human
behavior and teach about the relationship
between gods and humans.
3. Mount Olympus – The most
important place of the ancient gods.
Mythical Mount Olympus was
located somewhere above the
earth, and the gods traveled freely
between realms.
Some visited the underworld.
4. The 4 Main Classes of Gods:
1. Olympians – the main gods who live
at Mount Olympus
2. Gods and godesses who lived
elsewhere.
3. Demi-gods and Heroes – Demi-god
is a child of a mortal and immortal.
Heroes are the very few mortals
whose heroic deeds raised them to
the rank of the gods.
