Grammar is the rules that govern the
structure of sentences and how words are
used in a language.
Definition:

Parts of speech
Parts of speech are categories that help classify and identify words based on their functions
and roles in a sentence. They help us understand how words are used and how they relate to
each other in a sentence.
There are 8 parts of speech, Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, Pronouns, Prepositions,
Conjunction and Interjection.

Sentence structure refers to arranging words and phrases in a sentence to convey meaning.
It involves understanding the components of a sentence, such as the subject, verb, and
object, and how they work together. Sentence structure also includes different types of
sentences, like declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory.
An article is a word that precedes a noun and provides information about its definiteness
(whether it is specific or general) and number (whether it is singular or plural). There are three
articles in English: "a," "an," and "the."
Articles play a crucial role in sentence structure and help provide clarity and specificity in
communication. By understanding the appropriate use of articles, one can effectively convey
the intended meaning and avoid confusion.

Strategy 2: Explanations for incorrect answers to reinforce learning. Encourage learners to
practice applying grammar rules in written and spoken exercises.
Example - Create a sentence-building game where learners are given a set of words, and they must
construct grammatically correct sentences using those words. This activity encourages active
participation and reinforces understanding of sentence structure
Strategies to achieve the objective:
Strategy 1: Break down complex sentences into simpler parts to demonstrate how grammar
components work together.
Example - When explaining parts of speech, start with simple examples like "The dog barks" to introduce
nouns and verbs. Then, gradually introduce adjectives, adverbs, and other parts of speech in subsequent
lessons.
Strategy 3:Provide interactive examples and exercises that engage learners in actively
applying grammar rules and concepts.
Example - Present sentences with grammatical errors and ask learners to identify and correct the
mistakes.

Summary:
The conclusion or outcome of learning objectives related to grammar,
sentence structure, and parts of speech is to equip tutors with the necessary
skills and knowledge to use language effectively, enabling them to express
themselves accurately and confidently.
