Dear Admissions Committee:
I am writing today to recommend Kiristan Leftwich for admission to your graduate education program. As a
member of our organization, Kiristan has successfully completed an extensive leadership training program
requiring months of effort and dedication. Only 1% of those students invited by their school to join our program
reach this level and I believe the designation merits consideration by your committee.
Graduate education requires extraordinary initiative on the part of students. Academic undertakings on this level
mean not only long hours and hard work but also the self-discipline to follow through. From what our
organization has seen, Kiristan has all of these qualities and more.
If you have not yet heard of The National Society of Leadership and Success certification program, you may not
realize how much work is involved for a member to achieve their status. Our program requires that all
prospective members attend many hours of training focusing on teamwork, goal setting and achievement,
leadership skills and styles, self motivation, and accountability - qualities valuable in any graduate program
student. Prospective members are continually evaluated by the staff members at their college and at each
milestone receive feedback for self-improvement.
In order to reach this level of membership, Kiristan has attended training broadcast symposiums with leaders such
as Dr. Stephen Covey, Jack Canfield, Harvey MacKay and Alan Dershowitz. Additionally, through bi-weekly
mastermind team meetings, she has learned how to use a peer group to increase performance. After each meeting,
she completed a journal to document her progress and goals. Finally, she attended a comprehensive Leadership
Training Day to tie together all of her new knowledge.
If there is one takeaway that our National Officers have learned, it is that those who reach Kiristan's level of
membership do so through dedication spanning not hours, but days and weeks. This type of motivation, paired
with the skills she has learned and applied, will serve her well and make her an asset to your program.
Very truly yours,
Gary Tuerack
