GOVERNANCE EXECUTED OUT OF ZION
 Zion was always associated with governance. When
Zion is first mentioned in 2 Sam.5:7, it is in the context
of a military campaign. Zion was a fortress hill in
Jerusalem. David captured Zion immediately after he
was crowned king. Zion became his stronghold; he
ruled and extended the kingdom from there
 Ps 2:6 - I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill. Zion is
always associated with rulership and kingdom
    government
 Ps 110:2 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right
hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The
LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
GOVERNANCE EXECUTED OUT OF ZION
 Zion, the holy city/new Jerusalem described in
Revelation 21 has 12 gates, 12 angels at the gates,
twelve foundations, it is 12 000 furlongs in height,
breadth and length, adorned with 12 precious
stones. Twelve is the number of God’s government
 Isa 2:4 For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge
between the nations, And rebuke many people; They
shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their
spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up
sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war
anymore. The nations are governed from Zion
GOVERNANCE EXECUTED OUT OF ZION
 Isa.2:2/ Mic.4:1 Now it shall come to pass in
the latter days that the mountain of the LORD's
house shall be established on the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills
Mt Zion dominates all other mountains. A
church that possesses and reigns over the
    various sectors of society
 “Ekklesia” – Thayer: “an assembly of the people
(called out from their homes) convened at the
public place of the council for the purpose of
    deliberating”
HEBREWS 12:23
 “general assembly” (NKJV) versus “joyful
    assembly” (NIV)
 The Greek word is “paneguris”
 This word is a combination of two root words:
“pas” – which means all and “agora” which
means “to gather at the town square ”
 “General assembly” is by far a more accurate
    rendering of the word

     DO IN THEIR CIT Y
 Nothing should be allowed within our jurisdiction
without our endorsement. This church has
oversight over the city. The policies and
legislation for our city should be conceived within
3. CAPACITATES THE PEOPLE FOR THE DIFFERENT
