AURAL
Music is an important part in the aesthetic of a film. It is to connect
people to a film and make them feel certain emotions. This helps
the storytelling process and setting the scene.
The songs portrayed in this film ranges from the 70s to the 90s. This
gives the audience the nostalgic feels which aligns with the 70s groovy
colour palette of the film. For example, these are the songs that are
played in the film: Creep (Radiohead, 1993), Badlands (Bruce
Springsteen (1978) and Come and Get Your Love (Redbone, 1973).
Music is heavily emphasized throughout not only this film, but also in
the two previous films as well. The main character is very attached to
his Sony Walkman which led to some of the side characters developing
the same attachment to music.
