Ekklesia - Foundation Message One - Greg Simasrfochler
Jesus takes his disciples to Caesarea Philippi, the northernmost region near Mount Hermon, to reveal two important truths. He asks them who people say he is and who they say he is. When Peter answers that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, Jesus says he will build his "ekklesia", a Greek word meaning governing assembly, not "church". The document explores the history and meaning of the word "church" and argues that Jesus was referring to building his ekklesia, or governing assembly on earth to establish God's kingdom. It suggests implications for believers to understand themselves as Christ's ekklesia and function as his governing rule on earth through prayer and love.
This document outlines Jesus' plan for evangelism according to the Bible. It discusses how Jesus chose everyday people, not the religious elite, to be his disciples. He spent three years with them constantly so they could learn from him. True disciples must be willing to forsake all things and obey Jesus completely. The document also discusses how Jesus lived his life for others without a single selfish act and with total reliance on God. He modeled prayer, knowledge of scripture, and love for the lost. Jesus sent his disciples out two by two and had them report back on their teachings and works. His plan was for his followers to abide in him, bear fruit, and bring others to belief through their words and examples, like

The document argues that believers in Yeshua should obey the Sabbath based on several reasons:
1) God commanded the Sabbath and did not change his commandments; the Sabbath is a perpetual covenant and sign between God and Israel.
2) There is no verse in the renewed covenant where Yeshua tells believers to keep Sunday instead of the Sabbath.
3) The Gospels and Acts show that Yeshua arose at the end of the Sabbath and the disciples met on the first day of the week, which is the Sabbath.
4) Disobeying the Sabbath command brings God's punishment and judgment upon Israel according

Jesus glorified his Father here on earth by making disciples (John 17:4), and he calls us to do the same (John 17:18). God does not ask from us that we glorify Him in any way for which He will not supply us. And that's where the cross comes in.
The document discusses various aspects of prayer based on biblical passages. It identifies several purposes and benefits of prayer, including communicating and developing intimacy with God, glorifying God, submitting to God, gaining strength and sustenance, receiving wisdom and forgiveness, and finding protection and deliverance. Prayer is important because God listens to and responds to righteous prayers, invites believers to cast their burdens on Him, and imparts power to resist temptation. The cornerstone of prayer is loving God with all one's heart, and Christians are instructed to follow the example of the Lord's prayer.

Jesus taught his disciples how to pray using what is known as the Lord's Prayer. He instructed them to pray privately to God as their Father in heaven, focusing on hallowing God's name, desiring God's kingdom and will to be done, asking for daily provision and forgiveness as we forgive others, and requesting deliverance from temptation and evil. Jesus emphasized humble, sincere prayer over repetitive, empty words.
Prayer flags are used in Tibetan Buddhism to spread messages and blessings through the wind. They typically feature images in the center surrounded by mantras or sutras. Tibetans hang strands of prayer flags in high-traffic outdoor areas to allow the wind to disperse the blessings. Originally painted by hand, woodblocks later allowed mass production of standard designs. Common symbols on prayer flags include the wind horse and eight auspicious symbols representing good fortune. People of any faith can create their own meaningful prayer flags using symbols and written prayers, wishes, or affirmations.
Jesus prays for his disciples and all future believers. He prays that they will be united in their faith and relationship with God through Christ, growing together in truth and holiness. Jesus prays to God the Father for his disciples. He prays that they will be protected and kept safe as they spread Jesus' message to others. Jesus wants the disciples to experience complete unity with each other and with God, just as Jesus and God are one. He prays that believers will be sanctified and separated from the world through God's word. The ultimate goal is for all believers to be one with God and Jesus, so that the world will see their unity and love and know that God sent Jesus.
The document discusses the importance of glorifying God. It references Jesus' prayer in John 17:1-5 where he asks God to glorify him so that he can glorify God. It states that eternal life is knowing God and Jesus, and seeing Jesus as glorious is important for having eternal life. The document also discusses how salvation is impossible through human effort alone, but possible through God, referencing the conversion of atheist John Wright. It concludes by saying that all circumstances, including tragic ones, only make sense when viewed as meant to glorify God.
The document discusses the nature and importance of biblical faith. It defines faith as sincere trust and commitment to God, evidenced by obedience to his commands. Jesus' body and blood given in the new testament further demonstrate his grace. John passages emphasize that Jesus sanctified himself to sanctify believers and share his glory and oneness with the Father. The document concludes that the grace of God is the Lord Jesus Christ himself, who gave all he had so that believers may share in what he has as the divine Word

Now that the Apostles have acknowledged Jesus' true identity as the Son of God, the Lord begins a more in depth teaching on the subjects of His mission and the nature of His Kingdom. (Mark 9:1-10:52)
In this section of Mark's gospel the writer uses the miracles where Jesus heals the blind and deaf as a preview of the opening of the Apostles' unbelieving eyes and ears. (Mark 7:1 - 8:38)
In this section of Mark's gospel, the author profiles four powerful situations where those who witness Christ's power believe in Him as Lord and Savior. (Mark 4:34-6:56)

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1

Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.
