Hazards: Duplicate, plagiarized or thin content; user-generated spam; keyword stuffing.

A canonical link element is an HTML element that helps webmasters prevent duplicate content
issues in search engine optimization by specifying the "canonical" or "preferred" version of a
web page

4) Thin content : particular web page : short article, space blank ( it kills user experience , will
increase bounce.)
5) keyword stuffing : panda will analyse your content (using multiple keywords in same article )
How it works: The Panda algorithm update assigns a so-called “quality score” to web pages.
This score is then used as a ranking factor. Initially, the effects of Panda were mild, but in
January 2016 it was permanently incorporated into Google’s core algorithm.
2) Penguin : Algorithm
On September 23, 2016 Google announced that Google Penguin Algorithm
How it works: Google Penguin’s objective is to down-rank sites whose backlinks look
unnatural. This update put an end to low-effort link building, like buying links from link farms and
PBNs.
1) , Link schemes - Link development , acquisition or purchase of backlinks from low quality or
unrelated websites, & also spam links.
Link schemes:
Any links intended to manipulate PageRank or a site's ranking in Google search results
may be considered part of a link scheme and a violation of Google's Webmaster
Guidelines. This includes any behavior that manipulates links to your site or outgoing
links from your site.
Link schemes examples:
● Buying links.
● Selling links.
● Offering incentives – cash or otherwise – in exchange for links.
● Excessive link exchanges (keyword being “excessive”)
● Using software or other automated programs to create links.
● Paid advertorials with links.
● Low-quality web directories.
● Low-quality bookmark sites.
2 ) keywords stuffing - populating a webpage with large number of repetitions of keywords
in an attempt to manipulate rank via the appearance of relevance to specific search Phrases
3 ) Hummingbird : Algorithm
Date: August 22, 2013
Hazards: Keyword stuffing; low-quality content.
● How it works: The Hummingbird algorithm helps Google better interpret search
queries and provide results that match searcher intent (as opposed to the individual
terms within the query). While keywords continue to be important, the Hummingbird
algorithm makes it possible for a page to rank for a query even if it doesn’t contain the
exact words the searcher entered. This is achieved with the help of natural language
processing that relies on latent semantic indexing, co-occurring terms and synonyms.
Hummingbird algorithm did not appear to have drastic negative impact
on general webs

RankBrain is a system by which Google can better understand the likely user intent of a search
query. It was rolled out in the spring of 2015, but not announced until October 26 of that year

Session Duration:Dwell Time : Dwell time is the time that a Particular user spends on your
website or web page.
Bounce rate : Bounce rate is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It
represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave rather than continuing to
view other pages within the same site

Organic CTR : CTR is the number of clicks that your ad receives divided by the number of
times your ad is shown: clicks ÷ impressions = CTR. For example, if you had 5 clicks and 100
impressions, then your CTR would be 5%.

6 ) The EMD Update in 2012
The EMD Update — for “Exact Match Domain” — is a filter Google launched in September 2012
to prevent poor quality sites from ranking well simply because they had words that match search
terms in their domain names. When a fresh EMD Update happens, sites that have improved
their content may regain good rankings
The intent behind this update was not to target exact match domain names exclusively, but to
target sites with the following combination of spammy tactics: exact match domains that were
also poor quality sites with thin content.

7 ) BERT Algorithm : Bidirectional Encoder Representations from

This update put an end to low-effort link building, like buying links from link farms and PBNs. 1) , Link schemes - Link development , acquisition or purchase of backlinks from low quality or unrelated websites, & also spam links. Link schemes: Any links intended to manipulate PageRank or a site's ranking in Google search results may be considered part of a link scheme and a violation of Google's Webmaster

Link schemes examples: ● Buying links. ● Selling links. ● Offering incentives – cash or otherwise – in exchange for links. ● Excessive link exchanges (keyword being “excessive”) ● Using software or other automated programs to create links. ● Paid advertorials with links. ● Low-quality web directories. ● Low-quality bookmark sites. 2 ) keywords stuffing - populating a webpage with large number of repetitions of keywords in an attempt to manipulate rank via the appearance of relevance to specific search Phrases 3 ) Hummingbird : Algorithm Date: August 22, 2013 Hazards: Keyword stuffing; low-quality content. ● How it works: The Hummingbird algorithm helps Google better interpret search queries and provide results that match searcher intent (as opposed to the individual terms within the query). While keywords continue to be important, the Hummingbird algorithm makes it possible for a page to rank for a query even if it doesn’t contain the exact words the searcher entered. This is achieved with the help of natural language processing that relies on latent semantic indexing, co-occurring terms and synonyms.
