GOOD FRIDAY

Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey to shouts of praise from the crowds. This act symbolizes his coming in humility and peace rather than on a horse as a symbol of war. Though the crowds welcomed him as the Messiah and King, Jesus wept over Jerusalem because he knew they would reject him. The document then recounts biblical figures who would identify Jesus as the seed of woman, King of glory, Emmanuel, Lamb of God, and beloved Son of God.
