All the services such as a common room for entertainment, vegetarian food, medical facility, laundry service, outings for entertainment etc. will be provided to make the life of the residents a pleasure. Though there is a central kitchen & dining Room at GF, common pantry has been provided at FF and SF for convenience of residents. Residents will also be provided with inputs on various subjects on regular basis, enabling them to lead a physically and mentally healthy and meaningful life. Proposal for building of Golden Age Home at Shivalik Nagar Haridwar
The Senior Citizen Forum Haridwar, is a charitable trust dedicated for the welfare of senior
citizens of the society. The Trust is certified under section 80G of Incometax Act. We have
about 700 members and 40 well qualified trusties.
It is being observed that, there are many senior citizens who are living in isolation because their
wards are either settled abroad or having a very busy life. In most of the cases the wards are
financially well-off but have no time to look after them. With a view to provide a meaningful,
happy, healthy and active life to such senior citizens, we are planning to build a well equipped
Golden Age Home in the Holy City Haridwar at Shivalik Nagar. The Shivalik Nagar is posh colony
about 8 Km away from Haridwar city. The colony is in Haridwar but free from all hassles faced
by the city during Mela season. The air in Shivalik Nagar is free from pollution and the quality
of water is very good.

The Golden Age Home will be built through donations from the residents and operated on self
sustainable basis. The resident will be involved in the management GAH. Individuals will bear
their own expenses on monthly basis.
Financial Status
1) One of our Patrons is prepared to give his two plots (7500 sqft) costing about Rs 2.5 Cr. on
lease basis for this noble cause.
2) The cost of construction, lift, furnishing and other amenities is expected to be around Rs 300
Lakhs.
3) Major portion of this expenditure is to be contributed by the residents, in form of donation.
The names of donors would be displayed at a prominent place in the building.
4) The construction is likely to be completed within 15 to 18 months from starting date.

2. Terms and Conditions
Persons willing to avail this facility would be required to donate as under: -
For one double seated room with attached bathroom- Rs 12 lakhs.
For one single seated room with attached bathroom- Rs 9 lakhs.
Persons requiring two room set can take two adjacent rooms by donating the
corresponding amount. The layout will be suitably modified in consultation with the
occupants.
All the residents will be provided accommodation for their life time on first come first serve
basis. Thereafter, the accommodation will be allocated to other needy persons. We would
prefer to provide accommodation only for those, who are planning to stay on regular basis.
Expression of Interest and payment plan
All those who are interested, may put up their request in the attached format. The Committee
will scrutinized the request for availability of accommodation and send a confirmation to the
individuals. Residents will be required to pay Rs 2 Lakhs as initial amount soon after the
confirmation by the committee to block the accommodation for him.The payment plan would
be as under: -

Note: -
1) If the prospective resident is not able to pay the donations as per schedule, the
committee would be free to allocate the accommodation to any other person and the
initial donation paid by him would be refunded.
2) Adherence to the schedule of payment is very important as the progress of construction
would depend on availability of funds with the trust.
