Managing DBA support for various production and non production instances including ERP. Client is on 11.5.10.2
apps and 10gR2 DB and planning for upgrade. We are team of 7 resources. I am managing and responsible for
DBA services and deliveries. Apart from escalation handling, defining new processes, planning and implementing
new technologies, also responsible for adding up new opportunities from technology side & building new offerings.

APPS DBA Support for Cummins India Limited (CIL):
There are various oracle applications module implementation going on for CIL, and DBA team provides support for
more than 5 instances having around 650G size of DB and DMZ enabled production instance.
The support includes regular DBA activities required by development teams, including code migration/promotion.
Supporting various instances and the activities include patching, cloning from production instance to development
and test instance. Proactive monitoring of production instance. Also perform regular sysadmin activities e.g.
creation of new user and attaching/detaching responsibilities approved by management.

Project Details:
Oracle Financials Implementation for American Express (AMEX):
It was a multi-team project to implement GL as a first financial module for American Express, there I was part of
release and implementation team.
The main purpose of this project is to replace all the financial legacy systems which are running and developed in
mainframes with Oracle General Ledger and also get all the historical data into Oracle Apps GL.
Notable Accomplishments:
 Successful release of Oracle Financials Implementation, the Oracle GL customization for AMEX.

Oracle Apps 11.5.10 and Upgrade to 11.5.10 CU2:
This project includes installation of Vanilla 11.5.10 and application of 11.5.10 CU2 Maintenance pack for the
preparation of base for 11.5.10.2 release and from prior releases.
Critical Patch application for Oracle Apps 11.5.9 and 11.5.10 instances:
This project includes implementation for 11.5.9 and 11.5.10 with all the modules and application of Critical Patch
Update for pre-release customers.

3. Oracle Wizard tool for On Demand:
Oracle has On Demand customers and as a part of on demand team maintenance of On-demand customer
instances was the key challenge, to reduce the complexity development of Wizard tool was done. Wizard tool
helps us in installing new on-demand customer instances with required configuration and standard dir structure
Support for On-Demand Customers:
Triaging production issues, cloning production instance to create test instance for the application of various one-
off patches and CPU patches. Perform sanity checks and checking if the issue has resolved.
