Through a blog post and tweet, a global learning community called GlobalClassroom was born to connect classrooms around the world. GlobalClassroom now includes over 400 teachers from 41 countries on 6 continents collaborating on projects through tools like VoiceThread. Some example projects led by teacher members include Kid Speak, World Water Day, Edmodo Pen Pals, and The Malala Project, which allow students to discuss topics and learn about other cultures. GlobalClassroom aims to empower students and build international understanding through sharing ideas and collaborating across borders.

2. A Global Learning Community Is Born
