DCU-Fuse: 24 Hour Online Collaborative Brainstorm
This document summarizes the results of a 24-hour online collaborative brainstorming event called DCU-Fuse held at Dublin City University. Over 32 separate conversations were held across four topics areas with participation from students, staff, alumni and external guests from 21 countries. Survey results found high levels of agreement that the platform allowed open discussion and input into the university's strategic planning process. The student union president praised DCU-Fuse for bringing large-scale town halls to the online environment and ensuring all opinions are heard in a transparent and inclusive manner.

Universal Design
Universal Design aims to make products and environments usable by all people without needing adaptation. In education, Universal Design celebrates diversity by designing for the whole student population, not just accommodating some. The presentation discusses applying Universal Design principles like ensuring classrooms, interactions, materials, and assessments consider students' varied backgrounds, languages, abilities and disabilities. Eight areas are identified where Universal Design can be applied in education, such as the physical environment, delivery methods, and providing accommodations and feedback for all learners.

Lucy Gray gave a presentation on creating global learning networks at the Chicago Public Schools Tech Talk on February 1, 2013. She discussed the benefits of connecting classrooms globally, providing examples of organizations and tools that facilitate collaboration between educators and students worldwide. Gray emphasized building professional relationships through social media participation and joining existing global projects in order to develop students' 21st century skills through authentic, globally-connected learning experiences.

The goal is to develop global citizens and strengthen understanding between societies by encouraging intercultural learning and collaboration between schools internationally.

Wiki Indaba is a gathering of African Wikimedians and other open knowledge volunteers who are aligned to the Wikimedia Foundation mission. This is the first regional conference to be held by and for African chapters in Africa, the region of the world with the lowest Wikipedia coverage.
I am excited to be a part of the conference and connect with others around Africa promoting access to knowledge and gowing the open movement in our continent.

to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
