“My learning journey started with a Twitter
conversation, which although I didn’t know it, would
have a huge impact in the way I approached
teaching from then on.
I started collaborating with teachers who I’d never
met … Answering calls for Mystery Skype
Sessions, leaving comments in their classroom
blogs … have become part of my daily routine.
I went from being an isolated teacher of
English as a foreign language to a valid
reference to teachers who need to
expose their students to other voices from
around the world.
I have become more confident, and I
have learnt a lot about their countries,
customs, and way of life.”
The Global Classroom Project in Taiwan
Lin-Lin Tan, Taiwan
workonlittledreams.blogspot.com
Involved In:
● Mystery Skype
● The Malala Project
● Puppet Exchange Project
● Todd’s Postcard Swap Project
For Students:
It enables students to have distinct direct
contact with peers/teachers of other nations
in order to gain new perspective about the
world they live in.
It provides teachers with various choices of projects in order
to integrate students into international education and
enriches our teaching experiences.
Teachers around the world in the group
are dedicated and help one another in
the platform. This creates a sense of
belonging.
The Global Classroom bring us an
access to explore the world with
wonderful friends among nations.
The Power of Passion!
My students connected with the founders of Purus, Aaron and Garrett. We
were so touched by the need of the SAV School and the passion of Aaron and
Garrett, that we decided to lend a hand. We held hockey card sales, bottle
drives, penny drives and an art action. In total, my students raised $1250.00,
enough money to buy 20 water filters!!
